Alfred Cottage is a beautifully updated and extended Berry home. Dating back over 150 years, the property maintains many period features to connect you to its past but has been modernised to ensure a comfortable stay. Up to 8 guests can be accommodated in 4 bedrooms, 3 with queen beds and 1 with an imported Victorian era double bed. Guests will enjoy a large open plan living area complete with entertainer’s kitchen, 8 seater dining table and lounges in front of a wood burning fireplace. This area extends out onto a spacious deck with gas BBQ and the pool. The location is unbeatable, only moments walk from the shops and cafes of Queen Street.
Strictly NO PARTIES at this property – please. You will be evicted if this rule is broken.
Booking for peak season 2022/23 (16 Dec 2022 to 24 Jan 2023)
The changeover day for this property for the 2022/23 peak season is Thursday. When booking between mid-December and Australia Day, please select 7 night blocks that start and end on the changeover day. Otherwise the calendar may indicate that dates are not available. If in doubt, please contact The Holidays Collection and we will be happy to assist. Peak season bookings are often most easily made directly with us.
Where will I be?
Alfred Cottage enjoys an outstanding position, one street back from Queen street, you are within easy walking distance to the shops and cafes of the Berry main street. Seven Mile Beach is a 10 minute drive away.
Why choose Alfred Cottage?
Being so centrally located, Alfred Cottage allows guests to enjoy all that Berry has to offer while being able to leave the car at home.
How is the property laid out?
Parking at the side of the house, you enter through the side door. This takes you into the spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Large windows fill this area with light and reveal the large deck and pool area. Following the hallway towards the front of the house you will find a sitting room and three generous sized bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with t double bed. These bedrooms all share the one bathroom, featuring claw foot bath tub and separate shower. The master bedroom with queen bed and ensuite is at the other end of the house, with its own access to the deck and pool.
WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV – will I have it?
This property provides complimentary WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. There is a smart tv in the living room so you can stream your favourite shows.
Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
At the front of Alfred Cottage you will find a beautiful cottage garden. This space is fully enclosed with a white picket fence and features a secluded veranda, the perfect space to set yourself up with a good book. Most of your time outdoors will be spent on the deck with comfortable outdoor furniture, gas BBQ and the pool.
Staying warm or keeping cool?!
There is ducted reverse cycle air conditioning throughout the house. The master bedroom has its own reverse cycle unit. The lounge room is heated by a wood burning fireplace with wood supplied for guests to use.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
High quality sheets and towels are provided at Alfred Cottage.
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is parking for 4 vehicles in the private, secure parking area.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Sorry, Alfred Cottage is not pet friendly.
What are the minimum stay rules?
There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of January.
Who will I be dealing with during my stay?
This property is professionally managed by a dedicated holiday rental agency with offices in Gerringong, Hyams Beach and Bowral. Fantastic House
Anonymous - 25th April 2021The house was fantastic, great for a few families. The layout is perfect and with the fire and heating it is warm and cosy even in the winter. The location is fantastic for the children to adventure to the toy shop and sweet shop and even to IGA to help with the shopping 😊. There is a playground near to the house too which was fantastic. The communication was fantastic. The bathrooms were well stocked with shower wash, shampoo and conditioner. There is a beautiful wood burner and lots of wood provided, this makes the house so cosy on the colder evenings. We would definitely go back to Alfreds Cottage we had a fantastic time.
