The changeover day for this property for the 2022/23 peak season is Friday. When booking between mid-December and Australia Day, please select 7 night blocks that start and end on the changeover day. Otherwise the calendar may indicate that dates are not available. If in doubt, please contact The Holidays Collection and we will be happy to assist. Peak season bookings are often most easily made directly with us.
Where will I be?
Carmelone is located two streets back from the northern end of the famous Seven Mile Beach, only a two minute walk to the beach or five minutes to the Gerroa general store and post office. Gerringong is a seven minute drive away with a great selection of cafes, shops and restaurants.
Why choose Carmelone?
Carmelone is in a great location for those wishing to be near the family friendly end of Seven Mile Beach. The house is architecturally designed and has great views of the beach.
How is the property laid out?
Carmelone is a double storey home, with excellent views. There are three bedrooms located across the open deck at the rear of the house.Bedroom One with a queen bed, ensuite bathroom and doors onto deck, Bedroom Two with a double bed and one single bed, and Bedroom Three with a queen bed.
There are two bathrooms, an ensuite with shower, vanity and toilet and the main bathroom with bath, shower, vanity and separate toilet.
The open plan living, kitchen and dining are located at the front of the house.The kitchen has an island bench, stainless steel modern appliances, dishwasher, microwave, and gas oven.In the living room there is a wood fireplace, three comfortable couches, a flat screen TV and large doors that slide back onto front deck. There is also a downstairs laundry with washing machine, dryer and separate toilet and table tennis in the downstairs rumpus room.
WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV - will I have it?
This property provides complimentary WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email, or will be available at the property. Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner canguarantee 100% that the WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Carmelone is unfenced and surrounded by luscious green lawns. There is an entertainment deck at the front of the property with gas BBQ, outdoor table,chairs and two sun lounger deck chairs. There is also another deck between the bedrooms and living/dining/kitchen area.
Staying warm or keeping cool?!
There are ceiling fans in two of the bedrooms, the other room has a portable fan, the living/kitchen dining area has a pedestal fan and canbe opened up to take in the ocean breeze. There is a wood fireplace and heaters in the bedrooms for the cooler months.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Sheets, pillows, blankets or doonas, linen and bath towels are provided at this property. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is off street, open air parking for two cars on the driveway at the front of the house.The garage is locked and not available for guest use.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

What are the minimum stay rules?
There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of January.
Are there any special Peak Season rules?
Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do notschedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Carmelone is a beautiful property and quite unique. It's well 'fitted out' with three bedrooms (one has an ensuite), comfortable beds, a large kitchen, lounge and dining area. The home is split in two with bedrooms and bathrooms in one section while the kitchen, dining and lounge are in the other section. What you don't see on the website is that one bedroom has two double beds and a single, which was great for us, while the other two bedrooms have double beds (maybe Queens). A great place.

This house was the perfect place for our group of friends for a weekend away. The open living and deck overlooking spectacular views was the highlight.

Positive: The location is amazing. It's only a couple minutes walk to the surf beach. Great sunset views! The black cockatoos flew by everyday and loved the native trees in front of the house. The living room is very spacious and there are enough sofa's to fit everyone comfortably. The kitchen is laid out well. Lot's of space for lot's of cooks in the kitchen having the island counter in front of the stove. (There are drawers that are easy to miss just under the bar stools) Fire place was great and the there were plenty of fans for all the rooms. The lower level had lot's of space to store our beach things too:) The separate shower and toilet was also convenient. Lot's of space in the en-suite in the master bedroom. The host was very quick to respond to my questions.Negative: It wasn't too big of a deal but with 4 people sharing the second bathroom... I think there should be some shelving in the second bathroom as there was only one tiny table to put things on. We had to keep taking our toiletries in and out of the bathroom.

The location was perfect for us - near a friend's house on the same road. The views and living area was lovely. It is bit quirky with the separate sleeping area across an undercover but not enclosed breezeway. There is plenty of space and it is all comfortable. The bedrooms were well equipped with heating, towels and bedding. It smelt a little dusty but I am a hayfever sufferer. Bathroom is old but very functional. Overall a good find and good value. I would note the whole house is up some steepish stairs which may not suit everyone or if you have a lot of luggage.

Loved the living space, balcony and the fire! Much needed with the cold weather over weekend. Also great to have such a well equipped kitchen. Only slight downside was that it's so well equipped there isn't a lot of space for pantry items. Maybe a cull of less frequently used items or double ups. Price fair for long weekend with discount applied. Original price might be a little high for winter months. Feel some compensation required due to braving the evening cold to go to the toilets located in separate part of the house where bedrooms are and a bit of TLC with paintwork required. A pile of bird poo on one part of deck would be best removed & birds prevented from perching on beam above. Bird poo is of great interest to 3 year old boys!!Great stay over all though. Thanks

Great view and location. Fire very much needed - requested extra wood which was kindly dropped around (unsure if that will be deducted from deposit). Could do with a heater in the third bedroom. Appreciated extra blankets and lots of good quality towels. Great ensuite shower. Clean though cutlery drawers etc and ensuite ceiling need a spring clean. Comfortable and pleasant stay - local restaurant was outstanding and proximity to places ideal as was 7 mile beach walks. Really nice spot and house.
