Where will I be?
Newtown at the Beach is located right on St George's Basin with direct access down to the water from the backyard. The local towns of Hyams Beach, Vincentia and Huskisson are all a short drive away, as is Booderee National Park.
Why choose Newtown at the Beach?
This home has been beautifully designed. You will find a wonderful mix of textures and materials used throughout, including polished concrete floors, exposed beams, a deck made from upcycled scaffolding and the internal staircase that has been constructed from recycled fencing. High quality furnishings exude style and ambience making this home the perfect retreat. Attention to detail is evident in every aspect of this property.
How is the property laid out?
You enter Newtown at the Beach on the ground level of the home, where you will find a large queen bedroom with kitchenette, the laundry and bathroom. There is also a separate games room that is accessed via the back patio. On the second level you will find the open plan kitchen, living and dining room area, with access to the upstairs deck. This level houses the opulent bathroom, complete with a claw foot bath, and the two bedrooms -one with a queen bed and the other with a double.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV - will I have it?
This property does have Wi-Fi and a username and password will be provided for that in your pre-arrival email. You may use the house WiFi with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner.If internet access is critical during you stay, please make sure that you have a Plan B!
What about outdoors?
Newtown at the Beach has a large partially fenced backyard with direct access to the tranquil waters of St Georges Basin. A large spa is located under the shade of the trees and a BBQ and a picnic style outdoor dining setting complete the picture. Upstairs, enjoy views of the basin from the large upcycled scaffolding deck. There is also a small deck off the kitchen area overlooking the front yard for those seeking a little bit of privacy away from the rest of your companions.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
Newtown at the beach is equipped for year round comfort, making it the perfect holiday option no matter what the season. There is reverse cycle aircon in the downstairs bedroom and the upstairs lounge room. There are ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms, and the louvered windows and doors can be opened to catch the breeze. In the winter there is a wood fireplace in the lounge, as well a gas heater and the reverse cycle aircon to keep you warm.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Yes, linen and bath towels are supplied at Newtown at the Beach. Just please remember to bring your own beach towels!
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is plenty of room to park 3 cars on the driveway.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Sorry, Newtown at the Beach does not allow pets. Contact us for a list of our many other pet friendly options!
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Peak Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Peak Season rules?
Please note that during Peak Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Quiet, peaceful location, thoughtfully designed spaces, and very well equipped with everything you need. Lovely place!
We had a fantastic staycation at the property and everyone from toddlers to the adults ..everyone loved it. The thoughtful touches can be seen everywhere in the property and we were fascinated by the "rusty Olden" touch to the furniture . Kids were amazed by the games room and were spoilt for the PS4 games choices. Adults enjoyed the Spa on the cold night . Will definitely book it again when we visit Jervis Bay.

We had a wonderful stay at Newtown at the Beach! The house is exactly as the pictures show and has beautiful views of the basin. Kitchen is well-stocked for cooking and the bedrooms and bathroom were beautiful. The games room and outdoor jacuzzi were an added bonus! Will definitely be visiting again.
Great house to getaway with everything you need. The spa was a bonus feature if you don’t want to go out to the beach. The kitchen was fully functional with all the utensils to cook lunch/dinner. I would come back for sure.

Charming place the owners have put a lot of thought and effort into furnishing the property. I would love to bring my family back during winter so we could use the open fireplace and the spa. Highly recommend.
A fantastic place to stay that is clean with beautiful interiors and water views. The spa was amazing to chill by in the evening whilst we watched the sun go down. Highly recommend! My only criticism is that the house is not pet friendly.

We love how the house has everything one might need - like proper kitchen equipment (which you don’t always get in a rental). We also really appreciate how quickly you responded to the issue with our curtains - that really helped us enjoy our stay. Thank you We couldn’t get the washing machine to work - might be worth checking!

A beautifully styled holiday home. We loved every day of our stay. The house more than met the needs of my family with my sons retreating to the games room as often as they could. The house was sparkling clean and the kitchen well equipped to prepare meals. Would book to stay here again.
Such a beautiful Airbnb - we could not stop obsessing over the interior of the house 😍 specifically the bathroom! A really beautiful space! Direct access to Basin Walk if you enjoy a hike/walk/run. The accommodation has everything you could need. Short drive to sister towns for more activities! View of the ocean from the balcony was a big plus 😍 Amenities were perfect! Host also generously left a bottle of wine and chocolates! I loved this little location 👏🏼👏🏼
My family and I booked this house as we wanted cooking in all bedrooms as we have young children. When arriving the house was very hot, the ceiling fan in the main bedroom was not working. After hours of trying to contact the host they finally sent out an electrician that informed us that the motor had blown. He gave us a pedestal fan to use in lieu. The room was extremely hot and my little guy woke all night. It ruined our trip. We would not have booked knowing that the ceiling fan wasn’t working.

Quality property .
We had a really good time. Kids loved the nicely decorayed house the big gated front yard and a back yard with accesa to bushwalk by the basin. The walk is easy for most ages and it leads to a kids' play area. Only 7-8 minutes drive from the beautiful Hyams beach and 10 minutes from closear woolies and coles and 5 minutes from IGA. We look forward to visiting again.
A wonderful relaxing getaway just outside of Jervis Bay precinct. The home has a beautiful outlook and you can see the water from it. The backyard is connected to the basin walking track also. This is definitely a holiday home, beautifully renovated, and a delight to spend time in. Immaculately clean with all the necessities, as well as lovely fireplace and spa. The host left us a bottle of vino and biccies too! Highly recommended! Would love to be back.
Perfect location in sanctuary point, House is modernized with antique furniture and look , well maintained. Jacuzzi was great in the backyard , games room was a surprise. Got everything that one needs for a relaxing holiday .
We loved the location of the house as it had a wonderful view of the basin. It was quiet yet convenient, which was perfect for our group of 4. The kitchen was well equipped and it made cooking meals easier. The games room was a plus! Overall a very good place to stay and would book again!
