The Castle is special place - built in the 70's and retaining restored original features, this beach house features retro inspired furnishings, a perfect location, modern comforts, amazing views, a pizza oven + BBQ and games room for the kids (or adults!). The uniqueness of this beach house is obvious - but it is the attention to detail that brings this beach house to life! Overlooking the sea is a generous upper deck, outdoor furniture and gas BBQ, with direct access to the enormous lawn and firepit area. Upstairs is the living area - a place where guests can enjoy being together listening to records, gazing at the stars through the telescope, cooking a meal in the original kitchen (fitted with modern appliances), or just relaxing on the back deck watching the sunset. Or you can go 'straight to the games room' where you'll find a table tennis table, foosball soccer game and darts! Feeling like a homemade pizza? Relax in the garden area which features a custom built BBQ and pizza oven bench. How's the serenity? So much serenity!
This beach house sleeps 8 across 4 bedrooms- upstairs features the master bedroom and bathroom, downstairs features a 3 double bedrooms, and shared bathroom.

Where will I be?
The Castle sits right on Culburra Surf Beach, about a 50 metre walk to the sand and has spectacular ocean views from the upstairs front deck. Only a one minute drive from everything you need - grocery store, shops, cafes, bowling club and restaurants.

The Castle is like no other beach house. The owners have kept the original vibe of the house, while making sure the modern comforts are included. The beach house has modern appliances, as well as a generous inclusion of activities - games room, record player, telescope, fire pit, and pizza oven. This beach house will make you feel relaxed and will give you the best of an Australian beach holiday. The Castle also provides a baby travel cot and linen, high chair and gate for the stairs.
How is the property laid out?
The Castle is a two storey original brick waterfront home with four bedrooms, laid out as follows:
Upstairs is the main living area, kitchen, dining area, main bedroom, separate bathroom (with heated towel rails, shower, vanity, toilet and bath), sitting area with telescope and access to the front and back decks. The front deck has amazing views, a large outdoor table and BBQ, and direct access to the front lawn. The lounge room features a large screen TV, record player, telescope, reverse cycle air conditioning and ceiling fans, generous lounge for all the guests, and sliding doors that open on to the front and back deck. The retro kitchen features all modern appliances - fridge, microwave, oven, cooktop, pod coffee machine (welcome supply of capsules provided - but guests should bring additional) and De'Longhi toaster and kettle.
Downstairs is a separate living room has direct access to the back garden and pizza oven, and has a kitchenette and fridge. The games room and three queen bedrooms are downstairs, as well as the laundry (washing machine, dryer and double laundry sink) and shared bathroom (with heated towel rails, shower, vanity and toilet).
The guests are treated to luxury sheets, fluffy towels and Australian Salus Body products.
WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV - will I have it?
This property provides complimentary WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email, or will be available at the property. Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
Please bring your own passwords for streaming services.
What about outdoors?
The Castle has multiple decks, a very large front hard and back yard with garden. The upper decks have outdoor furniture. There is an outdoor shower for when you have finished enjoying yourself at the beach. The front lawn has a fire pit - but you will need to purchase firewood locally (a starter kit is provided). Two gas BBQ's and pizza oven are available for your use. The pizza oven also requires firewood which you will need to purchase locally.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
The Castle has reverse cycle air conditioning upstairs and downstairs, as well as ceiling fans in all rooms.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Pillows, blankets, doonas, linen and bath towels are provided at this property. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is off street, open air parking for two cars on the driveway.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

What are the minimum stay rules?
- Peak Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Peak Season rules?
Please note that during Peak Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
