** Why choose The Waterfront House? **
The Waterfront House is an original boathouse that has been sympathetically extended and features a relaxed aesthetic of rustic simplicity. The interior is layered with neutral tones and natural materials such as linen, rattan and tropical greenery. A mix of cushions and throws in a pared back colour palette makes the interior cosy and inviting all year round. Throw open the French doors onto the deck overlooking the waterfront where kangaroos often laze on the front lawn. Curl up behind the large windows with a glass of wine and contemplate the sunset over the water. In the early evenings take a chair to the waterfront, as there is nothing better than pondering the water under the night sky. The simple beauty of this space leaves you knowing that this is how life should be lived.
** How is the property laid out? **
The Waterfront House has an air-conditioned open plan living/ dining with polished wooden floors and French doors opening onto a covered deck with water views. The kitchen provides you with all the essentials including a coffee machine. There is a large undercover entertaining area with access to a laundry and bathroom with shower and toilet. The house has two bedrooms – Bedroom One has a queen bed and en suite with shower and toilet. This bedroom also includes air-conditioning.Bedroom Two offers a double bed, television and DVD player, air-conditioning and has views over the water. From the deck you can step down onto a large area of lawn and stroll just a few feet to the water.
** WiFi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV – will I have it? **
The Waterfront House does provide WiFi. You may use it with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise, please use your smart phone only during your stay or find a local cafe or library that offers free wifi. If internet access is critical during your stay, please make sure that you have a Plan B!
** What about outdoors? **
The Waterfront House is an entertainers dream with a large undercover entertaining space with cane lounges, dining table, gas BBQ and kitchen servery. There is also a covered deck overlooking the water with a dining table and casual seating.
** Staying warm or keeping cool?! **
The Waterfront House offers air-conditioning in the lounge room as well as both bedrooms.Ceiling fans are also fitted in all bedrooms.
** What about sheets, towels and other supplies? **
The Waterfront House supplies linen. Though please remember to bring your own favourite beach towels!
** Parking for cars, boats etc? **
There is enough parking at The Waterfront House for two cars.
** Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay? **
Yes! The Waterfront House is a pet friendly property. Pets must be declared at the time of booking. Although please note The Waterfront House property is not a fully fenced.
** What are the minimum stay rules? **
There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to seven night blocks during the peak period. The peak period runs from mid-December to end of the Australia Day long weekend in January. Easter also requires a minimum four night stay and a minimum three nights during all long-weekends.
** Are there any special Peak Season rules? **
Please note that during the peak period our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the rosters manageable for our cleaners.We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.
** Is there any special information I should know? **
Smoking is strictly prohibited in and around The Boathouse.
