Bimbimbie (place of many birds) is a quintessential Australian beach house in a much sought after location at the quiet end of Tulip Street. The house has great views from the large deck and is only a two minute walk to Chinaman's Beach.
Please note:
- The garage and shed is not available to guests. In addition, whilst the upstairs bath has spa jets and vents, they are non-operational.
- Strictly no parties at this property – please. You will be evicted if this rule is broken.

Where will I be?
Bimbimbie is located in the northern end of the village, but is still only a short walk to the local Hyams Beach Cafe and beaches of Hyams. It is particularly close to Chinamans beach and it's beautiful white sand.
Why choose Bimbimbie?
Bimbimbie is a comfortable, relaxed and spacious beach house. It has a large deck with great views over Jervis Bay, perfect for entertaining or a barbecue.
How is the property laid out?
Bimbimbie is a two-storey house, configured as follows:
Upstairs has three bedrooms (king; two single; one single and trundle), sharing a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. The main living area has an open plan lounge, bar and dining room connecting to a good sized deck that runs the full width of the house. The modern well-equipped kitchen is also on this level - and all of the living areas have views across the bay through large sliding door windows.
The downstairs level is connected via an internal spiral staircase, and has a good sized rumpus room - perfect for the kids. There is also an internal laundry with shower and toilet, and the fourth bedroom with king bed.
Wi-Fi and streaming services - will I have them?
This particular property does NOT offer Wi-Fi. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise, it's best to use your smartphone only during your stay or find a local cafe or library that offers free Wi-Fi. The Holidays Collection is committed to getting all owners to provide wifi at their property, but this is still work in progress!
What about outdoors?
Bimbimbie has a fully fenced backyard garden and a deck overlooking Jervis Bay's stunning water views. The deck offers a perfect spot for entertaining guests in the lazy afternoons after a day at the beach.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
Bimbimbie has reverse cycle air con, and is equipped with a combustion fireplace and ceiling fans in all bedrooms.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Bimbimbie supplies linen and bath towels. Please remember to bring your own beach towels!
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is no access to the property's garage however there is ample parking space for up to five cars in the two driveways. One car space has a carport covering it.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Yes! Pets are welcome to stay at Bimbimbie subject to the following:
- Please do not allow wet or dirty dogs in or through the house
- Absolutely no dogs on the furniture
- Please bag and dispose of doggy waste appropriately
- Lastly, please consider that not all guests bring dogs on holiday and we want everyone to enjoy a clean and fresh home. Please clean up dog hairs or anything else inside the house before your departure - thank you!
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

This property is professionally managed by a dedicated holiday rental agency with offices in Gerringong, Hyams Beach, Bowral and Kangaroo Valley. Gorgeous holiday house so close to the beach. Very spacious and comfortable place. Would definitely stay here again!!
Great location! Only 3 minute walk to the beach and views of the water. Hyams beach is quiet and its only little oasis. Only negative was that a fair few of the dishes were a bit dirty/hadn’t been washed properly when we got tOther than that, the place was great and we would definitely recommend :)

Great holiday house

Usually when we stay we stay for a weekend with friends and all pay but this time it was my birthday so I booked for 9 days. So $3,800 was a lot of money for me so I did notice things . Had to call my friend to bring wood. Had to go out and buy dishwasher tablets rubbish bags, dishwashing liquid. It would be great to have wifi because there were kids there and using parents data works out costly and confrontational when parents.
This is a very comfortable house with a great view and location- quiet and close to the beach and lovely forest walks. The house is bright and open. For the very elderly note that there are steps and a spiral staircase between floors. A very restoring place for a holiday.

It was a home away from home. The balcony was perfect for watching the dolphins and kookaburras. Very quiet area and so close to the beach and bush walks.

Lizzy - 20th March 2016A wonderful large family beach home, perfect for a holiday. So close to beaches at Hyams and Vincentia. The view from the balcony over Jervis Bay is stunning. Kookaburras, parrots and kangaroos add to the view. Beds and linen excellent. No dishwasher. Could use blinds/curtains at the deck windows as in summer, the hot sun heats up the house. Our dog was welcome to stay there and we all had a wonderful time. March 2016. Thanks
