Fairview is an 1885 farmhouse, located right in the heart of Gerringong, with beautiful district views. It is set on a large block with lovely trees and has all its original features - timber floor boards, beautiful fireplaces, gorgeous old door fittings, high ceilings and cobalt blue stained glass in the front door.
Strictly no parties at this property – please. You will be evicted if this rule is broken.

Where will I be?
Fairview is located very centrally in Gerringong and Werri Beach only a four minute drive from the house. The famous Seven Mile Beach at Gerroa is also only a five minute drive away.
Why choose Fairview?
Fairview has great a central location within easy walking distance of Gerringong main street, close to restaurants, shops and cafes. Fairview is a beautiful, character filled house with a big private backyard.
How is the property laid out?
Fairview is a single storey farmhouse with three bedrooms. Bedroom One has a king bed and ensuite bathroom; Bedroom Two has a double bed; and Bedroom Three has a wooden tri bunk (double bed below, single bed above). There is also a single sofa bed in the second living room for one extra person.
There are two bathrooms, the ensuite to the king room, with clawed iron bath, shower, vanity and toilet and the main bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet.
At the back of the house is the open plan living, kitchen and breakfast room. The living area has large leather sofas, a breakfast table with chairs, flat screen TV, DVD player, CD player, iPod dock and Wood Combustion fireplace. Three sets of sliding cedar and glass doors open out onto the spacious back garden. The kitchen is modern and very well-equipped.
The central hallway leads to a dining room with large table and six chairs, a small study with black and while tiled floor, a second living room with open fireplace, and a fold out sofa bed for one extra person. There is an external laundry accessed from the back wooden deck.
Please note the double wood fireplace is not operative.
Wi-Fi, Netflix, Pay TV - will I have it?
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. Please note that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that Wi-Fi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If Wi-Fi is important, please therefore always have a backup plan.
What about outdoors?
The front veranda wraps around both sides of the house. The house is set back from the street and beautiful old trees offer seclusion. The block is surrounded by playing fields, with a high hedge providing privacy, and there is only one neighbour. The back garden is very large, with a modern enclosed trampoline. The sliding doors from the living area open out onto a wooden deck with outdoor dining table and benches, gas BBQ and umbrella.
Staying warm or keeping cool?!
Fairview has two fireplaces in each living room and heaters in all the bedrooms. For the warmer months there are ceiling fans in the main living area.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Pillows, blankets, doonas, linen and bath towels are provided at this property. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!
Parking for cars, boats etc.?
There is off street, open air parking for 4 cars on the driveway.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Fairview is a pet friendly property, subject to the following rules:
Please do not allow wet or dirty dogs in or through the house.
Absolutely no dogs on the furniture or in the bedrooms.
The yard is fully fenced.
Please bag and dispose of doggy waste appropriately.
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Absolutely wonderful home

The house is absolutely gorgeous, with a really warm, inviting and comfortable feel to it. We loved the artwork everywhere. The garden is lovely with lots of space for the children to play, whilst the shops are walking distance and the beach a two-minute drive. We were also very grateful for the generous check-out time. We look forward to coming back soon!

Although we are keen cooks we spent most of the time eating out but appreciated how well appointed the kitchen is. The entire house is well appointed for a comfortable few days away with lots of spare blankets, games, reading material etc. We loved the decor and all the artworks and the great location. We really enjoyed our holiday at ‘Fairview’.

The location couldn't have been better because it was so easy to wander 30seconds to the IGA or 2 minutes to main street. The bedding was wonderful and everything was really clean.

Jenny - 18th October 2016What a beautiful home, sitting in the backyard watching the butcher bird & listening to the wind through the trees and you can still hear the surf in the background. The house itself has everything you might want. My daughter loved the electric blanket, the woodfire heated the whole house on the chilly nights and the ceiling fans cooled us during the days. The flying fox in the yard looked like such fun that next time I am going to borrow a child to come with us just so I can see the smile on their face! A great location, a great house.

It was clean and well presented, quirky and full of character. It was a bit chilly and we relied on the log fire to warm us up which added to the character. The staff were very professional and responsive. I would definitely stay again.

We are so glad we selected this beautifully presented comfortable house surrounded by its sunny interesting old garden. Fairview is well equipped for a longer stay, in a quiet street close to the town centre. We loved walking on the beach at sunset, eating delicious food at the Blue Swimmer, and exploring Berry amid wonderful landscapes in early spring.

Easter weekend away
LaurenH - 14th April 2015My friends and I spent the Easter long weekend at Fairview and had an amazing time. The location is fantastic - right in town and just 15 minute's walk to the beach. We loved the character of the house with the working fireplace for the rainy days, the modern kitchen with all the necessary appliances, the modern and clean bathrooms, the very comfortable beds, and the BBQ. The dog-friendly house meant we could bring our dog who had the best fun running around the backyard. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again.
