Black Wattle (formally known as The Buck)is a stylish, well appointed beach house sleeping six. It is located in a quiet and private position, yet is only a 80 metre walk to the white sands of Hyams Beach. The property is set amongst lovely native bush, but with plenty of sunshine nonetheless. You get the best of a bush setting and proximity to the beach in this lovely home!

Booking for peak season (mid Dec 2021 to end Jan 2022)
Changeover day for the coming peak season is Thursday. When booking between mid-December and Australia Day, please select 7 night blocks that start and end on the changeover day. Otherwise the calendar may indicate that dates are not available. If in doubt, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to assist.
Where will I be?
Black Wattle has a lovely natural bush setting in the increasingly sought after Silver Strand Circle. You will discover that this is a quiet and peaceful pocket of Hyams Beach, yet still only a two minute walk to the main beach!It is also an easy stroll up to the Hyams Beach Cafe for coffee or a meal.

Black Wattle has a fantastic location and setting! It is set amonst beautiful trees just away from the busy beach strip. Yet at the same time, it is only a short walk to the main beach at Hyams. Oryou can just sit in any one of the 3 outdoor areas and enjoy the birdlife and sunshine around you.
How is the property laid out?
Black Wattle is a two-storey home with three good-sized bedrooms, two decks, and a rear courtyard. The home has a split-level living and dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, and a laundry, two bathrooms and parking for two cars. It is ideal for weekends away or longer stays, and combines practical seaside holiday living with the comforts of home. The bedrooms are configured as one queen room downstairs, and one queen room plus a bunk room upstairs.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV - will I have it?
This property provides complimentary WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email, or will be available at the property. Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the Wi-Fi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a backup plan.
What about outdoors?
Black Wattle has a small back lawn and three separate balconies, perfect for alfresco dining or catching up on some reading. The buck also has a hot and cold water outdoor shower for washing off before re-entering the house after a visit to the beach.
Staying warm or keeping cool?!
Black Wattle is equipped with a gas heater and two ceiling fans in the lounge / dining area, a moveable electric heater and a pedestal fan. If the house it opened up in summer, it catches any available breeze. The rear courtyard is also north facing so has a good sun aspect.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Pillows, blankets, duvets, linen and bath towels are all provided at this property. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!
Parking for cars?
Black Wattle has parking for twocars and shares a driveway with the next door property.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

What are the minimum stay rules?
There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, fournights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January.
Are there any special Peak Season rules?
Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable.We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

The location of the house is amazing, few minutes to the beach in a more quiet area of the village. It has a sunny lovely rear courtyard that is nice to sit in. Internet is excellent.

Beautifully appointed and without doubt, the cleanest property we have ever stayed in. Clearly freshly painted too. We wish we were staying longer but we know we will be back!

The Buck is ideally located a couple of minutes away from the Hyams Beach and is a one storey unit with 3 bedrooms. It is only a two minute walk to Hyams beach and hence no need to park your car near the beach. To access the unit you need to climb a flight of stairs. It has three outdoor areas accessible from 2 bedrooms and the lounge making it ideal during summer months to dry clothes, BBQ, etc. The unit has a bookshelf with heaps of books for all ages and hence there is plenty of reading material. It has a full working kitchen with all the facilities of a modern kitchen. Two bedrooms are located on the upper floor of the unit and one of them has a queen bed and the other a bunk bed. The bottom bedroom also has a queen bed and a balcony. The bathroom on the lower level is smaller as compared to the one on the upper floor which is much larger and includes a bath tub. The lounge has a small TV and plenty of board games for children to be busy. The only drawback is the WiFi and within the unit the connection is intermittent but at best non-existent. To access the internet you would need to take a walk to the beach or on the main street. There is an outdoor shower located on the side of the unit so that the sand can be washed out before entering the unit. In the night you can see Kangaroos and other smaller animals and hence need to watch your step if going out in the dark. All in all a great place and you couldnt go wrong in booking this place.

We really enjoyed the stay. Kids loved there, clean, quiet, close to beach and relaxing. Outside shower was best after swimming at the worlds whitest beach. Thank you!
