Say Aloha to Bombora - a refreshed 1960s vintage beach shack centrally located just footsteps to Crooked River and Seven Mile Beach. Bombora is a great base to swim, surf, paddle or simply unwind and relax.

Booking for peak season 2022/23 (16 Dec 2022 to 24 Jan 2023)
The changeover day for this property for the 2022/23 peak season is Tuesday. When booking between mid-December and Australia Day, please select 7 night blocks that start and end on the changeover day. Otherwise the calendar may indicate that dates are not available. If in doubt, please contact The Holidays Collection and we will be happy to assist. Peak season bookings are often most easily made directly with us.
Where will I be?
Bombora is only a short walk to the sand of the Beach, in a location central to all of Gerroa's attractions. Emery Park with swings, slides and BBQs is diagonally opposite and the popular Blue Swimmer Restaurant is just a few doors down. Gerroa is a superb base to explore the region, with the historic town of Berry, award-winning vineyards and National Parks all an easy drive.
Why choose Bombora?
Casual and relaxed, Bombora is an idyllic spot to revive and take in the coastal air with views across the River to the Beach. The house being situated above street-level lends the front deck as the perfect place to sit and enjoy the view with the opportunity to observe whales and birdlife. Bombora is set mainly on a single level; the second bathroom is up a few internal stairs. The main living areas (sunroom, lounge, dining and kitchen) and master bedroom are located at the front all with an open, leafy outlook to the water.
The open-plan living/dining area has a flat screen LED TV with DVD player, Bluetooth stereo, leather sofa and timber dining table. The sitting area, equipped with games and books, opens onto a terraced north-facing rear deck and garden. The well-equipped, modern kitchen features a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, oven and gas cook top. There is also an internal laundry with washing machine, dryer, washing tub, iron, and ironing board opening onto a sunny courtyard with washing line.
Note: the property has stairs, decks and is elevated from street level adult supervision of children is required.
How is the property laid out?
Bombora sleeps a maximum of 6 people. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 x queen and a bunkroom. The queen bedrooms both have built in wardrobes and ceiling fans. There are 2 modern bathrooms, one with a bath.
WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV - will I have it?
Sorry, this property does not provide WiFi. Please make alternative arrangements, or plan to switch off and fully relax during your stay. There is good 4G coverage for mobiles and internet browsing on devices.
What about outdoors?
Bombora features a deck extending the front of the cottage, with a daybed, bench seat and gas BBQ making it the ideal spot to enjoy great views of the River and Beach. The rear garden is fully fenced with 3 level back deck areas with outdoor table and sun lounge. The warm outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off after a dip in the surf.
Staying warm or keeping cool?!
Windows are fitted with flyscreens allowing the rooms to catch the natural sea breezes. Reverse-cycle air conditioning in the main living area. Ceiling fans in the two queen bedrooms and a floor fan in the bunkroom.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Sheets, pillows, blankets or doonas, linen and bath towels are provided at this property. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is on-street parking available at this property. There are plentiful, untimed spots in the immediate vicinity.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

What are the minimum stay rules?
There is a minimum 2 night stay for all bookings, which changes to 3 nights on long weekends, 4 nights at Easter and 7 night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of January.
Are there any special Peak Season rules?
Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

A great place with an easy walk to 7 mile beach, coastal lookouts and great little community cafe. Well provided for, ample space inside and out and lovely views onto the nearby coastline. A very comfortable abode which would love to stay in again

Beautiful outlook and relaxed vibe - perfect for a low key family Christmas break after the year that was. Well equipped kitchen with thoughtful additions catering to the younger visitors. Would absolutely recommend and stay again.
Our stay was wonderful! The location was amazing, just a stroll to the beach and river, and close to the local cafe. The place was comfortable and perfect for our getaway!
A great location for a South Coast mini break. Being right across from the top end of Seven Mile Beach, the house was in a great location. A well kit out kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and inviting living spaces. I’d be happy to recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Kiama-Gerringong-Gerroa area.

Lovely white washed beach house with everything you need and more. Great for couples and families with the beach only a couple hundred metres from the front door and a great local cafe 50m from your front door.

This beautiful home was the perfect long weekend getaway with spectacular views over the beach that is just a 1 minute walk away. The house had everything we needed and was so beautifully presented while the spacious decks at the front and back were perfect for long lunches and dinners outside. I couldn’t recommend this place more for friends or a small family looking for a quiet relaxing beach getaway. I’ll definitely be back!

The proximity to the river and beach was amazing and the house was clean and tidy. We stayed on an extremely hot weekend and the aircon and ceiling fans weren’t sufficient to keep the family cool. The aircon isn’t very powerful. We noticed the bbq wasn’t that clean when we went to use it. There was also a plastic high chair with lots of cracks in it which didn’t seem safe for a child to sit in, and the tray was also broken. The floor fan in the bunk room didn’t work.

Great summery feeling place close to the beach. Look somewhere else if luxurious is your thing, yet everything you'd need for a relaxed airy beach property. Accommodated a family of 4 comfortably. if anything somewhat basic storage (wardrobes, drawers) - which mattered little for a beach break in any case. I would go back.
