Right on the beach, with a mid-century curated interior! This beautifully renovated 1930’s cottage maintains that retro vibe but you can still plug into the NBN Wi-Fi to stay connected – if you need to! An ideal getaway for two people (and ok if you have a child), with views across the beach reserve, lagoon and rockpools, and is just a few steps across the grass to the sand.

If you're celebrating a special occasion or if you're just planning a cheeky weekend getaway, Atlantis Cottage is set against a perfect backdrop – ocean views, no big-city distractions, relaxing dips in the rockpools, local walking tracks and sunsets over the water.
Currarong has a general store for basic supplies, a café and a bowling club but no other shops so please bring all the nice cheese, wine, platter supplies & other deliciousness with you.
Atlantis caters for three – the main king bedroom plus a short-double day bed. Children are welcome; however, we do not provide cots, high chairs or any other amenities specifically for babies or young children. So whatever you need, please bring it with you! The cottage is not baby proofed but we trust parents’ judgment in regard to this.

Booking for peak season 2022/23 (16 Dec 2022 to 24 Jan 2023)
The changeover day for this property for the 2022/23 peak season is Friday. When booking between mid-December and Australia Day, please select 7 night blocks that start and end on the changeover day. Otherwise the calendar may indicate that dates are not available. If in doubt, please contact The Holidays Collection and we will be happy to assist. Peak season bookings are often most easily made directly with us.
Where will I be?
Built in the 1930’s, this original beach cottage is merely metres from the sand in Currarong, a small idyllic and secluded coastal holiday village. Wake each morning listening to the waves; spend the evening watching sunsets over the water, a rarity in eastern Australia. Morning coffee is just a few steps to Zac’s Café. There are lots of simple and sustainable things to do around Currarong and the Beecroft Peninsula. Visit Honeymoon Bay, one of the secluded Jervis Bay beaches much celebrated on Instagram. Point Perpendicular Lighthouse is a short drive. And the buzz of Huskisson and serenity of Jervis Bay and the Jervis Bay National Park aren’t far away.

Atlantis is a classic seaside cottage from a bygone era, furnished in a retro mid-century style. The outdoor shaded deck is a perfect location to sit and watch the world go by, check your social media, work on your latest novel or dream up your next project!
Built in the 1930's, this original beach cottage is located right in the centre of the village at the rear of a beachfront property and still retains all the charm of an old beach shack! Ideal for 2 people and ok if you have a child, this cottage is the authentic beach shack experience!
How is the property laid out?
The cottage has open plan living and dining areas with easy access to the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The interior space has white-washed wooden floors and stylised furnishings compliment the cottage’s history. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric cooktop, under-bench electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, full-height fridge with separate freezer and a large compliment of kitchen utensils.
The dining room is right in the centre of the cottage where the original fireplace once lived, and adjacent to the main bedroom with a king size bed. The day bed can sleep a child. The bathroom is timber-lined with a claw foot bath, pebble floor, vintage wash stand, and separate shower with a generous rain-shower head. Tucked behind the bathroom door is a washing machine.
Wi-Fi, internet, Netflix or pay TV- will I have it?
Atlantis provides high-speed internet access via Wi-Fi. A username & password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. Whilst we endeavour to provide this facility 24/7, there is no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth. If internet access is critical during your stay, it’s good to have a Plan B.
What about outdoors?
Just outside the front door, a large deck with dining table and seating provides a great space to laze the day away, do jigsaw puzzles, read the paper, enjoy meals or relax and watch the world go by. A gas BBQ for easy outdoor cooking awaits. Hidden behind a timber screen is an outdoor hot/cold shower when you return from the beach.
Keeping warm or keeping cool?
Atlantis Cottage takes full advantage of ocean breezes with easy-to-open windows. In cooler times, heaters are available. Two large Lilli Pilli trees shade the outdoor deck and dining area.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Luxurious sheets, pillow cases, doonas, blankets, bath and hand towels are provided all year round. Please remember to bring your own beach towels.
Parking for cars, boats, etc?
Easy off-street parking is provided for 1 car.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Avalon is a pet friendly property, subject to the following rules:
Please do not allow wet or dirty dogs in or through the house.
Absolutely no dogs on the furniture or in the bedrooms.
Please bag and dispose of doggy waste appropriately.
Smoking is strictly not permitted in the Cottage
Please note that The Holidays Collection has a strict non-smoking policy. Please respect this policy by not smoking within or around the Cottage. Thank you.
What are the minimum stay rules?
There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January.
Are there any special Peak Season rules?
Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Year’s Day public holidays.
Who will I be dealing with during my stay?
This property is professionally managed by a dedicated holiday rental agency with offices in Gerringong, Hyams Beach and Bowral.
