Where will I be?
Rayfields is located in a secluded, peaceful and beautiful location - right at the end of Jorgenson Lane. As a result of its fairly remote location, you are treated to stunning views of the Wattamolla Valley from the property's elevated position. There is a second dwelling on the property, so whilst you will feel away from the world, there is someone on hand in the event of any issues or an emergency.
The property is a 10 - 15 minute drive to Berry, 20 - 25 minutes to Kangaroo Valley and if you are up for a half day or full day outing, the beaches at Gerroa, Culburra or Jervis Bay are within 20 minutes driving distance of Rayfields.
Why choose Rayfields?
If you really want to get away from it all, Rayfields is a great option. Peace & Quiet. Stunning views. Bridlife. A near rainforest experience. Beautiful lawns. Dam with cabana. The old Farmhouse. Pet friendly. Dog kennels...and more. Rayfields is a perfect getaway for a group of up to 12, and their pets!
How is the property laid out?
The Farmhouse wing is set on one level and has 3 bedrooms, a large bathroom, a good sized kitchen, huge living room with cathedral ceilings and a wood burning fireplace, as well as a full width deck with those stunning views of the Wattamolla Valley!
The adjoining cottage has two bedrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs), a kitchenette, a second bathroom and a living area. It has a secure fenced and hedged garden courtyard for your dog.
The Farmhouse kitchen is equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine. Some Pods are provided Just remember to bring your extra favourite flavoured coffee pods!
WiFi, Internet, Netflix, or Pay TV - will I have it?
Due to the remote location of the property, there is no WiFi sorry. Telstra reception is generally good, but other carriers may have more patchy reception in this location. Most guests hot spot when having to send work emails etc.
What about outdoors?
Rayfields is a 98 acre rainforest property, of which 15 are cleared. Extensive lawn areas are well maintained so walking around the property or playing cricket is easy, including heading over to the large dam with picnic cabana and jetty for guest use. The Farmhouse has a lovely, covered, full width verandah with stunning views of the Wattamolla Valley.
Please also be aware you will likely see wombats, wallabys echidna and other wildlife on the property, so please drive slowly after dark, dawn and at dusk.
Please note that there is an unfenced dam on the property.
Stay warm or keeping cool?
For the cooler months, Rayfields has a cosy, wood burning fireplace in the Farmhouse living room.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Rayfields supplies all linen and bath towels. As the rate flexes with guest numbers, linen and towels will only be supplied for the number of guests that have been paid for.
Parking for cars, etc?
Rayfields has open air parking on a paved driveway area near the house, or additional driveway and lawn parking for vehicles. Four car spaces are covered by a carport between the Farmhouse and the cottage. In total up to 6 vehicles can be comfortably parked.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Rayfields welcomes pets. The 2 bedroom cottage has a good area for dogs (fenced and hedged), and there is a choice of 3 breeder grade kennels, each with a dog run, about 40 metres from the accommodation. If you go out for the day, the kennels are perfect for keeping your dog comfortable and secure.
Rayfields is home to much native wildlife. You may well see wallabies, wombats, and echidnas here. The birdlife is also abundant. All of these, however, are wild and you must remember to keep your distance and keep pets away from them, for the wellbeing of all. The Australian bush also contains snakes, spiders, and biting insects. You must take adequate precautions when outdoors, including closed-toe footwear and insect repellent.

A great venue with fantastic views and close enough to the village . Excellent nature aura with peaceful surroundings. Very positively secluded. Great diversity of bird life and forest vegetation. Fully equipped for all accomodation needs.

We had a wonderful family weekend at Rayfields. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. The property is just beautiful and the views spectacular.
Such a beautiful spotAnonymous - 30th November
Our extended family of 9 had a lovely weekend at Rayfields in September. It was delightful to wander around the property and enjoy the abundance of birdlife. Night time wombat spotting was also a highlight. The house was very comfortable and spacious for the 9 of us plus 2 active dogs. The only suggestion I would make is the need for an ensuite to the main bedroom. Otherwise, a beautiful place to relax.
Excellent!Anonymous - 30th November

We stayed at Rayfields for a weekend with a group of 9 friends. The house was gorgeous and fully equipped for a lovely getaway, with plenty of cooking equipment. The view from the property was also fantastic! Both Berry and Kangaroo Valley are close-by which was convenient for grocery shopping and activities. Overall we loved our stay and hope to be back soon!

A beautiful locationAnonymous - 30th November
A beautiful location with a stunning view. This house is the perfect set up for a girls trip away. Tip for the first person arriving, take the loft room and leave the window open a little so you can wake up to the sun rise and lyre birds!! I go away with this group of ladies every year since 2007 and we all agree this has been our favourite location by far.
BeautifulAnonymous - 30th November
We had a beautifully quiet and relaxing girls weekend. The beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed to cook all our meals. I wouldn't recommend driving in after dark, as the road is a bit tricky but the view at the end is well worth it. Great place to get away.
