Stonington Cottage offers a luxury Southern Highlands getaway in the heart of historic Berrima. Located just 400 metres from the centre of the town, guests can easily walk to restaurants and shops and enjoy strolling through the shops in the village. At the end of the street there is access to the Berrima River trail, watering hole and park with BBQ facilities. This is a picturesque part of the river where adults and children will both enjoy this spectucular watering hole! This is a very popular spot for picnics and cooling off in the warm weather.
Stonington Cottage can accommodate 4 people and generously provides all the luxuries you need for a quality Highlands stay - 2 king beds with Egyptian cotton linen and down duvets, bathrobes, two fireplaces, two kitchens with gas cooktops, two lounge areas and two bathrooms. Where will I be?
Stonington Cottage enjoys an outstanding position within the Berrima township. Just one street from the centre of the historic town, you can walk to all areas of Berrima. Berrima is a short drive from Bowral.

Stonington Cottage is luxuriously appointed. Cosy, yet with enough space to provide all that is needed for a country getaway, the Cottage is an ideal place to enjoy both Berrima and the surrounds of the Southern Highlands.
How is the property laid out?
Parking in the front driveway, the front door is located on the verandah up a small flight of stairs. The door opens into the lounge room which enjoys natural light. In this room is the fireplace and TV. Located just beyond the lounge room is the kitchen area with gas cooking, coffee pod machine and full size fridge/freezer. Continuing through the lounge room you enter a bedroom with views through the cottage window. This bedroom has an ensuite with shower, toilet and heated towel rail. Located downstairs is a small sitting room with a lounge. This leads onto a large room with a second king bed, sitting area, dining table, kitchen with gas cooking and full size fridge/freezer. Located off this room is an ensuite with shower, toilet and heated towel rail.
WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV – will I have it?
This property provides complimentary WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. There is a TV in the upstairs lounge area which has streaming services. There is a TV downstairs which has local channels only.
Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Stonington Cottage has a small deck at the front of the cottage which enjoys a northerly aspect.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
There is a electric fireplace in the upstairs lounge room, a reverse cycle air conditioner in the bedroom and a ceiling fan in the lounge room. Downstairs has a electric fireplace and a portable fan.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Stonington Cottage provides Egyptian cotton linen, down duvets and quality towels. Guests also enjoy the use of luxurious bathrobes during their stay.
Parking for cars, boats etc?
Guest can park in the two bays provided on the nature strip, but not on the road or in the property. The two bays are located in close proximity to the front doorsteps.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Sorry, Stonington Cottage is not pet friendly.
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

With 2 boys aged 15 and 11, the room downstairs with king bed, kitchenette and modern bathroom meant they had their own space while we had a beautiful king bed, lovely bathroom with views over the town (and a shower with great water pressure/ always a bonus!) and the main kitchenette and comfy lounge area. Everything was clean, well presented - a home away from home for a relaxing 3-day weekend. HistoricBerrima is full of surprises with some great places to eat too.

The cottage has everything you’d expect as well as a few extra touches - wine bucket chilling in the freezer, fresh pastries on arrival & replenishments left on the doorstep mid trip. We loved having the imitation fireplace being a rainy weekend. Traveling in a group of two it was a treat to have a large comfy bed each but there’s more than ample space for two couples. The cottage itself is a very short stroll to beautiful Berrima town & minutes drive to local wineries.
