Welcoming guests from February 2021, Withycombe is a classic, luxurious and beautifully appointed Bowral home. Built in 1875, the property has been stylishly renovated and modernised, yet still maintains charming period features that connect its guests to a rich history. This grand home can accommodate up to 12 guests, with 6 air conditioned bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The heart of the home is the spacious open plan grand room, complete with large entertaining kitchen, dining table and oversized lounges in front of the fireplace. Located just across the road from Corbett gardens, you are within easy walking distance of all of Bowral’s cafe’s restaurants and shops. Please note that due to the high standards of this beautiful home, party groups are not accepted and smoking inside is not permitted.

How is the property laid out?
Parking in the front driveway, you approach the front door from the verandah. Once inside you will find the first of 6 bedrooms immediately to your right. Turning left takes you into the piano room and on into a hallway leading to two bedrooms, bathroom and extra toilet. Continuing straight ahead takes you into the large living, dining and kitchen area. Glass doors lead out onto the back deck with gas BBQ. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms, one with king bed and ensuite. There is also an additional bathroom, sitting room and verandah.
WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV – will I have it?
This property provides complimentary WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. There is a smart tv in the living room and another in the office so you can stream your favourite shows.
Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Withycombe has a back deck area complete with a gas BBQ and outdoor setting. This area is surrounded by a beautiful established garden making it a lovely space to spend time.
Staying warm or keeping cool?!
There is ducted central heating throughout the house and a wood burning fireplace in the lounge room. Each bathroom has underfloor heating and heated towel rails. Each bedroom has reverse cycle air conditioning and the open plan living, dining and kitchen area also has reverse cycle air conditioning. The formal dining room, formal sitting room and upstairs sitting room all have gas fireplaces.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
High quality sheets and towels are provided at Withycombe.
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is parking for 6 vehicles on the driveway and around the back of the house.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Sorry, Withycombe is not pet friendly.
What are the minimum stay rules?
There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends or during December / January, and four nights at Easter.

Stayed here with 4 friends for a weekend. Lovely welcome basket with wine chocolates and biscuits, not to mention the milk and delish cheeses in fridge were welcome and a lovely touch as was the toothpaste and tissues in each bathroom. A stunning home with massive kitchen, dining and living area all very well appointed. Heating was brilliant throughout the house especially in the bathroom: underfloor and heated towel rails. So cental: walking distance to everything!!

Bowral is an amazing place. The location of the Withycombe is perfect. Walking distance to shops, cafes and other eateries. Spacious for the whole family. The open kitchen/dining/living area is the perfect social place for the whole family. Bowral offers something for everyone. The early morning walks in the foggy mist, were just devine. We will definitely be going back!

This historic, beautifully restored house exceeded our expectations in every way, from the generous, comfortable living spaces and bedrooms complete with nooks to enjoy a quiet read, to the stunning interior decoration and luxurious linens. Plenty of parking, an inviting outside space to linger over a cup of tea and a well thought out kitchen completes the picture for a relaxed stay. We had a thoroughly fun weekend at Withycombe, and being able to walk to all the shops and explore the area easily on foot was a bonus. Would love to visit again one day.
