Staying in The Angas Carriage is a truly unique and enjoyable experience. Angas started life as a passenger train in the 1920s and has been loving restored and converted into accommodation for up to 9 guests. The original woodwork and compartment layout make this a beautiful place to be. Modern updates including insulation, kitchen, bathroom, heating and air conditioning ensure that Angas remains comfortable for guests all these years later. This is an accommodation experience that you will not forget.

** Where will I be? **

The Angas Carriage is located within the Little Forest complex, a collection of 7 cottages spread across 42 acres of grounds. The carriage does have its own private spaces, but please be aware that other guests may be around as well. There are two other cottagesin immediate proximity to the carriage so please do expect to occasionally see your neighbours. Communal spaces include the lawns, gardens, driveway and trails, but you will have plenty of privacy as well. The Little Forest complex has a bush setting and is circled on one side by the Sydney – Melbourne railway line. As a result, trains are audible at times, and for any kids, part of the fun! Little Forest also has various trails throughout its 42 acres, but please keep children supervised at all times due to wildlife, unfenced dams and trains.

The Angas Carriage is a truly unique accommodation experience. For train lovers young and old, staying here is a wonderful experience. Even without an interest in trains, the modern appointments and beautiful interiors make this a great place to base yourself in the Southern Highlands.

** How is the property laid out? **

The Angas Carriage is reached down a tree-lined country drive way. You approach the carriage across a lawn and enter up the steel stairs. You enter into the kitchen and dining area. A hallway runs the length of the carriage, off which you will find the 7 bedrooms. The kitchen has a bar fridge, convection microwave and a small gas stovetop. Cooking equipment is supplied. There is a bathroom with shower and toilet that is at the kitchen end of the carriage. At the opposite end is a separate toilet. The windows look out onto the landscaped gardens and surrounding bush.

** Wi-Fi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV will I have it? **

This particular property does NOT offer Wi-Fi. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise, it’s best to use your smartphone only during your stay or find a local cafe that offers free Wi-Fi. The Holidays Collection is committed to getting all owners to provide Wi-Fi at their property, but this is still work in progress!

** What about outdoors? **

The Angas Carriage is surrounded by lawns and gardens that are open for guests to use. The house is part of a larger 40 acre property which includes bush trails for guests to explore. Please be aware that there is an unfenced dam on the property so children must be supervised at all times.

High quality sheets and towels are provided at The Angas Carriage.

Toilet paper, kitchen soaps, guest soaps and some other supplies are also provided, but please be prepared to top up during your stay as needed. Shanti at Hyams Beach – 4pm Check Out Sundays

Shanti is a comfortable, well priced cottage that has a lovely gardens, especially at the rear. The house is pet friendly and has a fully fenced back garden. Linen and towels are supplied and you are only 200 metres from Boat Ramp beach. This home is suitable for a maximum of 8 adults.

** Where will I be? **

Nestled towards the top of HyamRoad (a quiet cul-de-sac) and adjoining a lovely creek and natural bushland, Shanti is centrally located relative to the various beaches and the cafe.

** Why choose Shanti? **

Shanti has a lovely rear garden, good decking and is a safe, pet friendly option as well.

** How is the property laid out? **

Shanti is a doube storey home. The front door is on ground level and opens into a good sized lounge and tv area, with a door leading through to a queen bedroom. A shower, loo and laundry are also located on this level, near the rear door that leads out to the back garden. Upstairs the house has a dining room, kitchen, second shower and toilet,three bedrooms, and an internal sunroom / balcony. The main queen room has its own adjoining deck overlooking the back garden and the creek. There is then a second queen bedroom and a third bedroom with a bunk bed and single bed (sleeping three). The house is north facing with good natural light upstairs.

** WiFi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV – will I have it? **

Shanti adjoins a creek and its riverine bush at the rear of the property. There are lovely bush aspects from nearly all parts of the house, and the rear garden is a lovely area to sit and relax under the trees.

Shanti comes with a pedestal fan and wood fireplace.

** What about sheets, towels and other supplies? **

Shanti provides linen and bath towels. Please however remember to bring your own beach towels!

There is space for two cars in the driveway in addition to a reinforced grass parking space in the front garden.

Seascape is a lovely bush retreat, only minutes walk from Blenheim Beach. This clean, modern and well equipped house offers plenty of room to move or relax in the natural bush settings.

** Where will I be? **

Seascape is located at the southern end of Vincentia in a lovely bush reserve setting. The house is an easy eightminute walk to Blenheim Beach via the beach track at the back of the house, a ten minute walk to Greenfield Beach and from there only another 15 minute walk to Hyams Beach.

Seascape is set alongside a bush reserve (its north and eastern boundaries), and has easy access along a bush track to Blenheim Beach – giving very safe and easy access to Jervis Bay.

** Why choose Seascape at Blenheim? **

The house offers two large decks, perfect for entertaining. The upper deck leads off the living room and wraps back around to the front of the house offering fantastic views of the surrounding bushland.

** How is the property laid out? **

This two storey house is accessed via ground level. Walk into a fresh foyer which leads directly to the stair well. Downstairs you will find two bedrooms, both with a queen size bed, and a combined laundry, shower and toilet. Moving upstairs you walk into the open planned living decorated with a lovely beach feel. The “U” shaped kitchen is modern and well equipped and tucked nicely behind the living. The master king bedroom and second bedroom with tri-bunk share a fully renovated bathroom and are both fitted with large built in wardrobes.

Rowse House is a casual and comfortable holiday home in a prime location – across the road from a park, with great views from both levels of Jervis Bay and beautiful Chinaman’s Beach! Sleeping nine people across four bedrooms, this double storey, somewhat classic beach house home is a great option for your holiday.Please keep in mind to BYO sheets and towels or contact our office for local linen hire options.

** Where will I be? **

Across the road from the only park in Hyams Beach and with lovely views across the bay and down to Chinaman’s Beach, Rowse House can’t be beaten for location. The Hyams Beach Cafe and your pick of three beaches are also within easy walking distance. You areon the prime waterfront strip of Cyrus Street, with no other houses in front. If that wasn’t enough, Booderee National Park and the nearby towns of Huskisson and Vincentia are only a short drive away!

** Why choose Rowse House? **

Built and owned by the same family since 1951, Rowse House has been a labour of love over the years, and retains much of it original, casual and comfortable charm. It is an older style home but a solid ‘crowd favourite’. Sit back and enjoy the ocean views from the lovely deck or upstairs balcony, or let the kids run around in the spacious backyard.

** How is the property laid out? **

Entry toRowse House is from the rear. On the downstairs level is a bedroom with a double bed, the kitchen, living and dining area, as well as a combined bathroom/laundry and separate toilet. Upstairs there is a bathroom and three bedrooms: one with two single beds, the second with one double bed and one single bed, and the third with a queen bed. Two of the upstairs bedrooms access a balcony with fantastic views of Jervis Bay. There is also a bathroom on the second level.

Enjoy the best that Jervis Bay has to offer from Polly’s Escape. This wonderful home has views of the bay from the top deck, and is walking distance to Plantation Point and Nelsons Beach, making it the perfect option for your family getaway. Please keep in mind to BYO sheets and towels!

If you have a larger group you can book the main house and cottage together, sleeping 14 in total. If you choose to book the main house only at Pollys Escape the cottage will not be booked by other guests, you will have the entire property to yourself.

Pollys Escape is ideally located along Elizabeth Drive. Plantation Point and Nelsons Beach are both a short walk away, as is the Plantation Point Boat ramp. It is a 3 minute drive to Bleheim Beach and Greenfield Beach. The local shopping precinct is a short drive, as are the nearby towns of Huskisson and Hyams Beach.

The Nirvana Cottagehas a queen bedroom with vintage surfboards lining the tall ceilings and northern outlook to four iconic Norfolk pines. The second bedroom is a child’s haven with white timber tri-bunk, books, toys and Lego in the wardrobe. The lounge wraps around the northern corner of the cottage lined with glass sliders letting in lots of light and the ocean breeze. For those cooler nights light up the ** fireplace ** and roll down the black shades and sleep tight.

The modern open plan kitchen and dining is in the center of the house with an outlook toward the beach on the eastern side and afternoon sunsets to the west on the sun-drenched deck. Complete with gas stove top and oven, microwave and modern appliances. The dining area has seating for six, plus three more along the kitchen bench or you can laze on the leather corner lounge!

The light filled main bathroom offers separate toilet styled with retro black and white check tiles. The original back door opens onto the deck; perfect for yoga. Mats are also supplied inside the back door blanket box and extra hooks are above for your towels and beach bags.

We are right on the bike track so please bring your bikes.

Mystic Sands is a casual, comfortable, spacious and extremely well equipped beach house – complete with pool table, table tennis, multiple living areas and large decks. It’s cocooned and very private location, away from any road, will pleasantly surprise you. The house also has fantastic views of Gerroa, Seven Mile Beach and Culburra. Sleeping nine, this is a perfect group or multi-family option!

** Where will I be? **** **

Vehicle access is via Bland Street, alongside No. 3 Bland Street. There is only pedestrian access to Crooked River Road, as driveway access off the main road is too dangerous / tricky.

Mystic Sands is located only a couple of minutes walk from Seven Mile Beach, the Blue Swimmer Cafe or the Gerroa Boat Fishermen’s Club (which has a courtesy bus).

Mirriyindi is just moments from Berrima. The local towns of Bowral and Mittagong are a 10-15 minute drive away, and wineries and wedding venues are close by.

The property consists of a main house and two studio cottages.

This is the main house and features two queen bedrooms both with en-suites and spacious, light-filled walk-in robes. There’s also a large and well-appointed eat-in country kitchen and a separate laundry. Please note that the AGA stove in the kitchen is not functional, there is an electric oven to use instead. The living room has a cozy slow combustion fireplace, flat screen TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs and books for you to enjoy.

Woongarra (Aboriginal meaning ‘sleeping place’)

This spacious studio sits beside the pond with serene views across the neighbouring lake. It has a queen bed and a single sofa bed, as well as a funky bathroom and kitchenette.

Noonameena (Aboriginal meaning ‘sleeping place among the gums’)

Located at the back of the property nestled among the gum trees, this studio cottage is romantic and secluded. It has a queen bed, en-suite and a kitchenette, as well as its own verandah and electric BBQ.

Internet and landline are not available, but there is strong 4G network coverage around the property. There are also bluetooth speakers in the main house and both studio cottages.

** What about outdoors? **

There are many great outdoor options at Mirriyindi. The covered verandah off the main cottage kitchen is perfect for an al-fresco dining alternative with it’s long trestle table, and there’s also an outdoor seating area nearby that catches the sun year round. The gazebo overlooking the garden pond makes for a great photo opportunity, and the grounds are full of places to explore and relax. There is also a gas BBQ available for your use.

** Staying warm or keeping cool?! **

The main cottage is fitted with a wood combustion fire and gas heater for Winter, as well as ceiling fans in the bedrooms for Summer. The two smaller cottages have reverse cycle aircon to keep you cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter.
