Shrine of Our Lady of Mercy
About Shrine of Our Lady of Mercy
Nestled in the serene Southern Highlands of NSW, the Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Mercy, affectionately known as Penrose Park, is a revered destination for pilgrims seeking spiritual solace. Home to a replica of the Icon of Our Lady of Jasna Góra, famously known as the Black Madonna, this shrine is lovingly tended by the Pauline Fathers, custodians of the original Icon for over 630 years.
They create a sacred space where pilgrims of diverse backgrounds can find spiritual nourishment and renewal. Through the celebration of sacraments, particularly the Holy Mass and Confession, along with devotional practices and inspiring sermons, pilgrims are guided on a journey to encounter Jesus through the intercession of Mary, Our Lady of Mercy.
Opening Hours
Visitors are welcome to Penrose Park every day from 8 AM to 6 PM, providing ample opportunity for prayer, reflection, and connection with the divine. Please note that opening hours may vary on Anzac Day.
Special Events

This sacred occasion commemorates the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three children in 1917 and serves as a poignant reminder of Mary's enduring presence and intercession in our lives. Mark your calendars for May 13th, the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima, and join in prayer and devotion.
