Not more than 200 meters from the beaches lies Elaine, in a quiet cul-de-sac. Recently modernised and furnished, the initial impression of the outside appearance of this cottage fails to do justice to what guests discover inside. Elaine comfortably accommodates 6 adults and boasts a top quality, very well equipped, kitchen. Hear the whispers of the ocean from this bright, airy, sun-filled cottage and enjoy a memorable holiday in this highly sought-after location.

Where will I be?
Elaine is situated at the top end of Hyam Road (a quiet cul-de-sac), and adjoins a lovely creek and natural bushland. Overall, Elaine is centrally located relative to the various beaches and the Hyams Beach Cafe, yet is far enough up the hill to be fairly secluded during the busy period.
How is the property laid out?
Elaine is a single storey home with 3 bedrooms, modern bathroom, open plan living and two good decks. The main bedroom is a queen sized room, the second bedroom has two singles, and the third bedroom has a good quality single bed with good quality trundle which can be slide across against a wall to give ample space between the beds. The three bedrooms share a good sized, modern and stylish bathroom, with separate toilet . The lounge, dining and kitchen area is a lovely open plan area with lots of natural light and access to either the front or rear deck. A European style laundry is concealed behind close doors, with washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is equipped with a Nespresso pod coffee machine. BYO pods please.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV - will I have it?
This property does have Wi-Fi and a username and password will be provided for that in your pre-arrival email. You may use the house WiFi with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If internet access is critical during you stay, please make sure that you have a Plan B.
What about outdoors?
Elaine adjoins a creek and its riverine bush at the rear of the property. There are lovely bush aspects from the house, and especially the large rear deck. The front deck of the house is also a good sun spot for the mornings. The gas BBQ is located on the rear deck.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Elaine provides linen and bath towels. Please however remember to bring your own beach towels!
Parking for boats, cars etc?
There is parking on the driveway for 2 cars in the driveway.
Staying warm or keeping cool?!
Elaine has moveable electric heaters in each room for cooler days. In the summer, the air-conditioning in the main living room is perfect after a hot afternoon in the sun. When opened up, the house also catches any available ocean breeze.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Sorry, Elaine is not a pet friendly property. Please contact us about our pet friendly options!
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Perfect Beach Holiday House!
Mardi D - 3rd March 2025Great location! Just a minute walk to the beach, however perfectly tucked away with fantastic yard space and beautiful view, surrounded by trees. The house is well laid out and well renovated. It had everything we needed and having a TV with streaming apps and aircon was a definite plus- especially for relaxing on the couch after a long day at the beach. Will definitely be back!

Very clean, comfy beds and enough space. The sea breeze kept the place cool and comfortable. A nice short walk to the best beach, so very easy with little ones. Absolutely loved the house. Made our holiday so easy and relaxed. We'll be back and also recommending to our friends and family.

Its great location in Hyams Beach gives the opportunity to walk to the beach and enjoy the Bush right at the back of the house. We had a family of Kangaroos yesterday afternoon walking quietly in front of the house. The house provides a warm, comfortable well-appointed home with all facilities. Great Verandha for BB's. The house is very clean. Great place for short and long-term stay.

The kitchen has everything you need to do all your cooking in and extra blankets, pillows, high chair and portacot were welcome conveniences. Holiday Collections were also great to deal with to arrange our last minute booking. The highlight is the location - easy walk to beautiful Hyams beach, with great swimming and rock pools for young kids, and the local cafe.

Beautiful home very close to Hyams Beach. The place was comfortable and perfect for our weekend away for 6 adults. The 4pm checkout on a Sunday was a game changer and allowed our group to extend our weekend just that little bit longer

The place was beautiful! It was cosy and very relaxing. Very close to Hyams and Chinamans Beach. We had such a lovely stay.
We loved staying at the Elaine with our young kids. It was in a quiet location yet so close to the beach that my young kids were able to walk there and back with no complaints :) The home is beautifully presented and amazingly clean (newly renovated I think?). It has all the amenities needed and I appreciated that they had a water filter, extra separate toilet and the shower out the back to rinse off after coming home from the beach. We also enjoyed looking out for kangaroos in the street in the evenings and early morning which was an added bonus! It is perfect for families :)

This property is fantastic for a beach getaway! It's really well located, only a short stroll down to either Hyams Beach or Chinamans Beach, which are both spectacular. The house had really great amenities - the kitchen was really well stocked, and there are lots of books and board games. The beds were comfortable and the rain shower was great! The outdoor deck is fantastic for meals. Would highly recommend staying here!

We had a lovely time at Elaine’s. It’s close to a couple of different beach options and the cafe. We loved having breakfast on the back verandah overlooking bush land. We didn’t have any issues having our 2 yr there and while there isn’t a bath there’s a portable baby bath that can be used for smaller kids. Would definitely come back again.
Lovely , modern, cosy house. Great amenities - netflix, board games, cards. Very clean! In a lovely location just a short walk from hyams beach.
The place isn't too bad but it was definitely not worth what we paid for (over $800 for 2 nights).
