Sorrento cottage has everything you need and more. Fantastic view of the lake and a beautiful backyard to relax in. We all had a great time even our dog. Would recommend this beautiful house to everyone. Thanks for having us, would book again.

Excellent communication. Comfortable property with a sense that it is well loved and maintained. Great peaceful location next to the lake close to fenced off leash area and dog friendly beach. Plenty of room for the family. Would stay again.

Clean, comfortable and convenient

Whilst our visit was for the purposes of a family funeral we were able to enjoy some of the holiday elements of the stunning water-side location. The nearby walking path was a tranquil relief and outlet for exercising our two dogs. The heating worked well and the kitchen was well equipped. We were very happy with our relatively last minute find!

Stunning!

Stunning views & beautiful backyard. Six of us stayed & it was the perfect size - enough seats & space for everyone to chill & recharge after a beautiful beach day! We will be back for another trip to the coast!!

Absolutely stunning house and location! From driving in the front gates to a beautiful garden, the house itself is just gorgeous. Then the lake and surrounds. Wow. 2 x adults, 2 x kids and the family dog all had the most fabulous time. Everything you need is in the house, the kayaks and the life jackets provided so much entertainment. We loved it. The host is lovely and friendly. I cannot voice how much I adored this place and everything it provided. Wonderful week away. 10/10.

Enjoyed our stay immensely

Hi Hosts: we have stayed 3 nights in mid-March, post floods in the local area, and have enjoyed our stay immensely. The wildlife(wallaby, kookaburras, ducks, pelicans, Superb blue wrens, wattle birds etc) and the other birds are very relaxed and visited often. The gardens, front and back, are useable and beautiful, with gorgeous views of the St Georges Basin. Thankyou from us and 2 appreciative labradoodles.

A great stay in a quiet neighbourhood

A lovely house in a nice location. It had everything we needed, and was great with our small dog. No issues with the back fence (as our pooch is too small to jump). House warmed up quickly and beds were comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen, and the bikes/kayaks are all in working order (we used all of them). In a quieter/less spectacular part of the Jervis Bay area, but still has plenty going for it if you don't mind a short drive to the beach.

Great location by the lake, well presented, lovely garden and a well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed using the kayaks - that was a drawcard!

Craigs place was perfect for a quick getaway for the weekend for a small group of friends. The location is excellent- it has stunning views and great access to Jervis bay and surrounds. Would definitely return again.

Great place that provided many things

Lovely House

A great airy house with a fabulous bath. Front yard is excellent for dogs but the backyard gate is low so dogs need constant supervision while out there. The house has everything you need except for a vacuum. The wi-fi worked well, The beds are comfy with plenty of extra blankets if needed. The view is lovely and we would definitely book again.

Beautiful Location

Our very first holiday with our fur babies and it was made easy and relaxing at Sorrento! Beautiful location on the water, perfect for our morning walks and evening fishing, bird watching, close to everything! Very well thought out house to relax and feel like a home away from home-will definitely be back!

Xmas stay at Sorrento Lakesside

Once again I enjoyed a relaxing week at Sorrento Lakeside. The property is well equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, glassware , coffee machine etc. Linen is also provided along with a few toiletries. There are two bikes, two kayaks which are lots of fun with the water being so close. Plenty of board games & books for guests. The garden is well maintained & it was good to see all the different birds that visited. I look forward to staying again in the future.

The place is really beautiful. Very relaxing. Over the weekend we enjoyed the peace and serenity, much more with the perks and amenities the place has to offer. We cannot ask for more. Cleanliness is superb. The host (Craig) is so accommodating, thank you very much, very easy to deal with. Birthday weekend and our dogs first holiday. What a great place. Lake available all hours of the day for dogs to paddle, swim and chase sticks. We tried to think of things this house might not have, but we gave up!! House is so clean and well maintained. Thankyou. We loved the front and back gardens with the birds, ducks, butterflies. We absolutely loved the place, very clean and very spacious. Very generous in all amenities. We cannot ask for more. Escaping the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the perfect place. We loved the serenity of the place, and kayaking with all the equipment needed at stone thrown away from the beach is very nice. If given the chance to go back to the place, definitely. Kudos to Craig, very accomodating and easy to deal with.

Beautiful Family Retreat.

Stayed Apr 2020 Trent P. An excellent experience from go to whoa. The listing reflects the reality accurately which is often not the case. Check in was private and easy. The property itself is an 'A' frame design which lends an interesting aesthetic for the bedrooms for the kids - it's fun in other words. The house is spacious and allows for separate areas for kids to stay away from each other when necessary - a prerequisite for maintaining family peace in my experience. The house is set up for professional letting out and as such is instantly easy to live in with a basic stock of essetials in the pantry and things like glad wrap and foil in the drawers - makes a big difference. I only needed to have a single interaction with our host (to ask a favour) and found her to be accommodating and extremely friendly. Oh, the bbq outdoor area is awesome and the kayaks in the shed are well kept and ready to go with the property directly on the lake. My favourite aspect of the property is the evening with stunning colours setting over the lake and a garden which has had effort installed to attract the local Birdlife. This is a lovely spot which I will be returning to. Thanks for a great stay. :)

Beautiful house and location, everything you need

We spent 3 nights at Sorrento and loved every minute of it. House is spacious, 2 bathrooms, plenty of outdoor seating and bbq we didn't even cook inside. Pretty much just spent our time sitting outside enjoying the water views and all the birds that came to visit! We didn't want to leave and will be back. Only small issue we had was the main bedroom has blinds because it's an A shaped house the light came in the mornings through the non blind covered Windows. I did have an eye mask tho which helped, partner didn't unfortunately. But really such a minor issue which is easily fixed. Would recommend 100% thank you for the amazing weekend!

This well stocked, well presented and spacious house provides a very pleasant home-away-from-home. The location is prime and the views are lovely, especially from upstairs. The kayaks are a huge bonus and for our family one of the most appealing aspects of renting this holiday home. The secure front yard is extremely beneficial too, especially for pet owners. I love all the thoughtful extra touches, like the semi stocked kitchen and pantry, the pet blankets and the useful instructions displayed in useful places! We can't wait to make our next booking!

Awesome spot

Beautiful, clean, charming cottage on the lake. The fenced in yard was perfect for our small kids to run around without running away. Great spot in a lovely little town!

Wonderful stay with friends

We had an amazing time at Sorrento! The house is a great layout for a few couples and our labrador loved it too! The sunsets over the lake were spectacular and we had a peaceful and relaxing weekend. Everything you need is there for a great weekend away (comfortable beds, pantry basics, great kitchen and two bathrooms). We cannot wait to book again!

A very good place to spend a week. Walking, swimming, watching, reading, plus the sunsets. A liveable house, well presented, well resourced. The dog friendly aspect was great with secure front gate. Our dogs had a great holiday hear.

Great Location

Peaceful location and spacious, comfortable home away from home. Great place for our two medium sized dogs with well-secured fencing. Stunning views of the Basin from the rear of the house. Family and Pets had a great time with walks along the basin bush track and splashing in its shallows. Kayaking was also a huge hit with our teenagers. A most memorable Christmas. We left some items behind and the owner was very helpful in their return to us. Could not have asked for a better holiday. Many thanks.

Perfect pet friendly holiday

Sorrento is peaceful, immaculate and truly pet friendly. The property is securely fenced with no gaps under the fence, dogs are allowed inside and in the sunroom which is great for bad weather and they also have pet blankets so your dogs can enjoy the couch with you. The water views and gardens are beautiful and very relaxing with a stunning sunset every night. The owners have thought of everything, great outdoor seating options to soak up the views, well maintained kayaks and bikes and lots of little extras inside to make your stay that much easier. We cannot wait to come back.

Absolutely loved every minute of our stay. The house was perfect with everything you could ever need. Having stunning views right from the yard was so lovely. Our children had so much fun riding bikes, playing soccer in the yard and badminton.

Perfect Weekend

Great location for a weekend get away being a comfortable drive from Sydney. Sorrento Lakeside was everything that they said it was.Ideal setting with the Lake only a short distance from the back door.Our family was impressed with the location,peace and the comfortable cottage. We had everything we needed.

Lovely Stay

It was so refreshing to wake up to a water view every morning. Being a fisherman I made use of the large kayak & enjoyed drifting around trying to land a flathead which are what the Basin is renown for. But the house had a very cosy holiday feel to it, it brought back memories of going to Toukley as a kid. Will definitely be going back again, was sad to leave.

we had wonderful time in Sorrento Lakeside, we played the kayaks in the lake, it was amazing experiences sounding by the ducks. our pet was so happy running around at back yard as the backyard are fully fenced. thanks for having us, we will come back again for sure.

Spacious, Comfortable and Well Appointed

Spacious, comfortable and well appointed home with stunning views of the Basin from the rear of the house. A lovely garden at the front of the house is great to enjoy while having a coffee on the front verandah. Our dog came with us on the holiday and we all enjoyed the daily walks on the basin bush track. A beautiful and central location to many local attractions like Ruin Lighthouse and the many superb beaches. Looking forward to returning to Sorrento.

Perfect long weekend away

Thank you so much for a perfect long weekend away - my 3 boys loved the kayaking especially! It was wonderful to wake up and see the ducks on the lake in the morning and hear the birds singing while duck feeding with some bread. This house is so beautifully situated next to the lake, and we were lucky to have perfect sunny weather the entire weekend. The local Vincentia Marketplace was only a few minutes drive away where we bought our food supplies for the weekend and we didn't need to eat out at all. The kitchen had all the cooking supplies we needed and we definitely made use of the BBQ!

We have had a fantastic time staying at Sorrento, for a few days My daughters and I have enjoyed every minute, and our dog Trixie has had the best weekend of her life. We spent almost all of our time in the lake, kayaking and playing on inflatable pool toys. Who knew our dog would love riding in the kayak ?? Being so close to the lake was so convenient, your house is beautiful and comfortable, With plenty of space and filled with useful things. Your kitchen was really well set up, with everything we could need, (we just had to bring food) And the property was filled with extras, to make our stay more enjoyable, like DVDs, coffee machine, Games, outdoor activities, bird seed to feed the parrots, and beautifully made beds, in every room! Our dog Trixie, loved having her own blanket, which you so thoughtfully provided. Thank you very much for allowing us to bring our pet to share our holiday fun. Easy and Relaxing

We've stayed twice. Location on the waterfront is great; very relaxing and quiet, and easy to take the bikes or kayaks out. The house is very comfortable with all the facilities provided and good explanations on how things work. We really enjoy staying there.

We loved our stay at Sorrento! A great location, very peaceful with a lovely view of the water. The home was well provisioned with everything you could want, very clean and organised with lots of information about the local area worth visiting-some amazing beaches close by! The kids enjoyed putting out the birdseed provided and watching the birds. Great outdoor area to have a meal and BBQ. Very relaxing! We will definitely return to this amazing home.

We had such an amazing time at Sorrento! There was nothing that we were without. The kitchen has everything you could need, and even things you didn't know you needed. We were also pleasantly surprised by how many games were available. Unfortunately we had not so great weather, but we hardly noticed, there was so much to do inside. The inclusion of bird seed for the birds outside was so wonderful. On our last day we threw some around and were excited to see a yard full of ducks, galah's, rainbow lorikeets and even a couple of rosellas. Thanks so much for such a great stay!

Great location and views

Very clean, great location & views. Close to Golf Club. Very well equipped. Kitchen-heaps of plates, glasses etc and the Garage had heaps of play things. Only drawback is no loo upstairs.

Our favourite holiday house

Love this place! We have stayed at Sorrento several times and keep coming back. The location is amazing and the house is perfect for our family including children (8,10 years) and our energetic dog. The kayaks and bikes are well used and the house has everything you need for a short or long stay. I love the homely touches such as extra blankets, washing machine and night lights for kids! The property was very well maintained, clean and has a great garden. Recommend to anyone who wants a home away from home holiday! We will be visiting again.

Great location and host

My family of 3 children (4,9 and 13) plus 3 dogs had a wonderful stay in this peaceful lakeside location. The house is clean and spacious and the yard lovely (and very dog friendly). The lake is warm and shallow which was great for my younger children. The reserve along the foreshore is great for a walk and we got to see many parrots and even kangaroos. Courtney (owner) has been wonderful in checking in with us and even offering much appreciated advice regarding renting a holiday home as we are going into the same business - thank you!! I highly recommend this place for families or couple and the local thai restaurant has yummy food :)

A great house right on the lake

A great house right on the lake and only 10mins to shops, cafs and restaurants. Also beautiful beaches only 15mins drive so plenty to do in the area.

Sorento Lake House is an amazing house

Sorento Lake House is an amazing house. Every need was suited. We were family with 3 boys, age 11, 9 and 5 and our Kelpie/staffy dog. Great location, direct on lakeside. We had a great time hiking, kayaking, swimming. Location is close to white beach tracks, for hiking and amazing views.

We stayed @Sorento Lake House with 3 kids (11.9.5) and our dog. It was amazing. Great location, direct at lake, views, fishing, kayaking and near white sand beaches. Rockclimbing trails, sunsets. Great experience

Excellent retreat for a group of friends

I just spend the weekend with a group of friends and the house and facilities suited us really well. The pantry was stocked with staples (except tomato sauce!) and the use of the kayaks and bikes was an added bonus that we made good use of. Direct access to the lake made it very easy. The Basin Walk right at the back door was also utilised. We originally booked the house because it was pet friendly however we didn't end up bringing the dogs with us which was probably just as well as the back fence is only knee high and would never have kept our dogs in. That would be my only negative, the house itself was clean, well appointed, had plenty of space for relaxing and even though there were six of us we weren't on top of each other. Fitting four cars in the driveway and off the street was a plus as well. Overall I would recommend the property and it was really good value for money. Thanks for sharing with us.

Great House

This is a great property, clean comfortable and well appointed. We had a lovely week here, both rain and shine with lots of lovely walks along the Basin Path and snorkeling in the water just metres from the backyard. Make sure you get to watch a sunset, its was absolutely amazing to see across the water. My only complaint would be that the water pressure in the show was not great but the size and amenities of the bathroom was a fair compensation!

Had the most amazing weekend. The house was perfect for us. The weather was not the best but it didn't stop the kids from getting in the water!

Lovely cottage on the lake

Our family including 16 year old and a mini schnauzer had a lovely time here with the lake, the ducks, the birds, the exotics gardens, the kayaks and the bikes. Short trip to Huskisson for lots of lovely food too. The view from the master bedroom in the morning was fantastic.

Lovely place, right on lake with easy access for kayaking and fishing. Lovely and clean if not a bit dusty musty in all the corner areas. Totally set up for pups, with dog blankets even supplied, and extremely secure. Modern kitchen and bathroom. Great place for a stay on this beautiful part of the coast.
