PAST GUEST REVIEWS
"We had a great family reunion of 4 generations (ages 1-83) in this lovely house. We were blessed with fantastic weather during this late Easter and enjoyed the beaches immensely (esp Chinamans). The house was so accommodating and the village is so quiet at night. As with some other before us we could not use Netflix upstairs but it was fine downstairs. Also one of the burners in the gas stove is not working. Would love to come back again sometime." - The Holyoake Clan
"What a Wonderful Home! There are bigger and newer houses but I bet they dont have the lived in homely feel. It will be remembered as the place we stayed on our first vacation with our 7 month old daughter Stella. It was also the first time my mother in law had been out of Italy and I know she will speak of this house for years to come and the fond memories it provided us all. You should be proud of this home. It has all the mod cons yet oozes character. The only thing missing was our beautiful Lab Daisy (maybe next time). Thank you for having us and would recommend to anyone who wants to listen, in fact we are looking thru the calendar for dates next year as we speak." - L. Palmer

A large holiday home perfect for a few familiesSheridan Hawkins - 17th May 2021
We loved this holiday house! Amazing views. Plenty of room for two or three families. Comfy beds, quality linen, kitchen well equipped for the keen cooks and the happy recipients! Great big lounge up stairs AND down stairs. We will be back. One of the upstairs bedrooms with bunks does have stairs in it but there is a door to main house upstairs and a curtain for extra privacy. Only downside is that we had to leave!
Lovely house with great views and amenities. Very short walk to the beach!
Positive: Negative: Excellent location and clean.

Great location and cleanMargot Vogel - 1st March 2021
Lovely stay, bedroom configuration a bit suboptimal:. No auditory privacy in one ‘bedroom’ which is really an alcove. Washing machine didn’t work. Python in gutter
great place, close to the beach
Family holiday 1-8 FebLiz Foster - 8th February 2021
We enjoyed our stay at Mara. Lovely aspect. Some general feedback, it's really a three bedder not four. The bunk beds on the landing are not private/ noise carries up the open staircase. I know it's a coastal property but the ants are a real problem, they were throughout the cutlery draw/kitchen and a constant issue. The kitchen is very old and not in great shape, greasy extractor fan etc. Metal vertical blinds are very noisy in the wind, windows were kept open for the breeze (no fans).
It's a wonderful place, watching the sea and eating breakfast, listening to the sound of the waves and falling asleep, clean and tidy, well-equipped, good coffee, 2 minutes walk to the beach, will definitely come again！
The house is spacious, perfect for a large family. The kitchen table overlooks the ocean and is a great space for a family celebration. The 4pm check out on Sunday meant we could enjoy a day at the beach and then come back to the house to shower before driving home.
Excellent location and a really well equipped property.

We had a great stay, thank you!
Good space for a large group and great location to the beach. We appreciated not having to fight for parking.
Great house, very peaceful and clean
Great stay, excellent location. Very nice surprise to see kangaroos near the house on an evening walk!
Stunning and spacious house in a beautiful location! We couldn’t get enough of those sunrises and sound of ocean. We would definitely recommend this property!
Beautifully comfortable house, just a stone’s throw from the beaches. Water views from the sunroom are perfect for a morning coffee! Great house for families, everything you need.
