Milhouse is a beautiful country retreat set on 3.5 acres. It accommodates up to 19 guests (maximum 14 adults please), across 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. This beautiful property is only 1.5 kms from the heart of Berry. The original farmhouse was built over 120 years ago and is complemented by large living areas, indoor / outdoor spaces, beautiful gardens, a commercial kitchen, and a modern accommodation wing. Other features of this fantastic property include a tennis court, swimming pool, fire pit, pizza oven, herb and vegetable garden for guest use, ample parking, and beautiful grounds. 5 of the 8 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and sitting areas for added privacy.
Please note - Milhouse has unfenced ponds and a running creek in its grounds, so please take great care with young children. Milhouse does not host weddings, however is a perfect option for wedding guest accommodation.

Where will I be?
Milhouse is located approximately 1.5km from Berry, taking 2 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot. Seven Mile Beach is a 10 minute drive away.

Why choose Milhouse?
In the past, Milhouse was run as a traditional bed and breakfast. The property has been beautifully restored by new owners and is now rented as a large, single residence - perfect for a family gathering, corporate retreat, or a getaway for friends. The property has ample indoor / outdoor living spaces, and 5 out of 8 bedrooms enjoy ensuites and sitting areas, meaning that guests can enjoy more privacy than in a typical holiday rental. The picturesque town of Berry with its popular shops, cafes and restaurants is only a short drive away, as is Seven Mile Beach. Or if you stay at "home" you will be well catered for with a swimming pool, tennis court, games room, fire pit, vegetable garden, and beautiful grounds to explore.
How is the property laid out?
The main entrance takes you into a foyer area. Directly ahead you will see the outdoor terrace, complete with large outdoor dining setting. Turning left will take you into the original farmhouse, consisting of 2 bedrooms, a snug TV room, and a bathroom. Turning right takes you into the modern extension. The heart of the building is the large living, dining and kitchen area. A long hallway leads to 6 additional bedrooms. The house is serviced by a semi-commercial grade kitchen, complete with walk in coolroom. A separate freezer is located in the laundry. There are 5 en-suite bathrooms, and a guest toilet adjacent to the kitchen and main living room. The pizza oven and additional BBQ are located in the gardens, as part of the pool cabana.
Security at Milhouse
Please note that given the quality and nature of the Milhouse, there are several external cameras set up on the property for security and to monitor guest numbers. There are no internal cameras. The cameras do not have a live feed, however can be referred to if there are any issues that need further investigation.
Wi-Fi, Netflix, Pay TV – will I have it?
This property provides complimentary Wi-Fi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. There is a smart tv in the living room so you can stream your favourite shows.
Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the Wi-Fi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
What about outdoors?
Milhouse is set on 3.5 acres. There are extensive gardens which include a swimming pool, full sized tennis court and fire pit. There is a large outdoor patio with a gas BBQ and large outdoor setting. There is also a large vegetable & herb garden that guests are welcome to help themselves to. The pizza oven and additional BBQ are located in the gardens, as part of the pool cabana.
Please note - there is an unfenced creek and garden ponds on the property so young children must be supervised at all times.
Staying warm or keeping cool?!
There is a wood burning fireplace in the open plan living and dining room. An adequate supply of firewood will be provided for the fireplace and outdoor fire pits. Thereafter, guests will be required to purchase additional firewood in Berry town.
The living area and all bedrooms except bedroom 8 have ceiling fans. There is air conditioning in all bedrooms except bedroom 8.
The swimming pool is not heated.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
High quality sheets and towels are provided at Milhouse. Please bring your own beach towels.
Parking for cars, boats etc.?
There is parking available for 7 cars in the car park near the front door. An additional 10 vehicles and trailers can be parked in the empty paddock on the other side of the tennis court.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Sorry, Milhouse is not pet friendly. Please check our website for other pet friendly options.
What are the minimum stay rules?
There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of January.
Are there any special Peak Season rules?
Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Fantastic place for a large family or multiple families holiday. The house was clean and all the rooms spacious with most with ensuites. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use and clean and the cool room was fantastic. All our kids enjoyed themselves and we used the tennis court and pool everyday.

The property was wonderful and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was terrific and very well stocked with crockery, cutlery, platters and glasses. We used the bbq twice and didn't need to replace the gas bottle and didn't need to replace the chest high gas bottle either. There were no breakages and the remote batteries were fine.
Absolutely fantastic property for a large family. Highly recommend it.

We have just returned from a weekend away at The Milhouse Berry. What a joy to have a late departure of 4pm on Sunday! The place was PERFECT for our family of 14 - 7 adults and 7 children .... even though it was raining! There was plenty of room for the children to run about indoors and plenty of quiet nooks to sit and play games. The adults were also well accommodated. I loved the massive dining table where we could all sit together and have our meals and family chats. The table can sit more than our 14. There is a lovely fireplace in the lounge room which we used one night. The kitchen was perfect - plates and glasses galore, heaps of pots and pans, 4 sinks, 2 dishwashers, a large oven with multiple gas plates for the pots. There was so much room in the cool room for refrigerated items. And also a freezer. I loved the secluded little courtyards off many of the bedrooms. The grounds were beautiful with little private picturesque gardens throughout the property. The large vegetable garden was handy for some food items. There’s also a tennis court and swimming pool and an outdoor room with table-tennis and darts. I particularly loved that everyone had plenty of space and there were so many bathrooms. The bedrooms were massive and quiet, with their own separate air conditioner. Although this is an old house, it has recently been refurbished - new linen on the beds, new pillows, new fluffy towels, new blinds and curtains, new plantation shutters in the bathrooms etc etc. The laundry was great with a new large Miele washing machine and a new dryer. The manager of the home was very courteous and helpful. The location of this property is great - only 1-and-a-half hours drive from Sydney, it’s surrounded by paddocks, and only a couple of minutes drive into town to purchase fresh bread, or the famous doughnuts. I highly recommend this place for a large gathering of family or group. We loved our stay. I am not associated with the property in any way - I have given an extensive review as I realise we are one of the first to use it as a full rental property.
