Where will I be?
On Golden Ponds is located on the St George's Basin at Erowal Bay and has a lovely waterfront aspect, with a garden that runs down to the water's edge. The house isan easy 150 metre walk to the Erowal Bay General Store, bottleshop and takeaway. Erowal Bay is also only a five minute drive from Hyams Beach and the Booderee National Park, and 15 minutes from Vincentia and Huskisson. The location is fantastic and you get beautiful sunsets from the large, main deck.
Why choose On Golden Ponds?
As the name suggests, On Golden Ponds has a tranquil and picturesque waterfront aspect, and a lovely, relaxed feel with rolling lawns and plenty of space for guests and kids. You will immediately feel relaxed. The house is also stylish, well equipped and the bunk room / annexe keeps the kids well out of earshot.
How is the property laid out?
On Golden Ponds has three bedrooms in the main house - queen, queen, double, and a separate bunk room / annex that sleeps four in single beds.
The main house bedrooms have lovely, polished wooden floors and the main bedroom has views over the water. The open plan kitchen and dining area connect to a sunken lounge, which in turn connects to a very large deck with great water view and a good, under-cover area for sun protection. The house has two bathrooms for shared use, one with shower and one with shower and bath.
The annex provides a couch and second TV.
The garden of On Golden Ponds is terraced below the house and has a very large area of lawn that runs down to the water - complete with kids' cubby house and a private jetty.
The large, covered timber deck is complete with a BBQ and outdoor dining table.
Security at On Golden Ponds
Please note that there are two external cameras set up on the property for security and to monitor guest numbers. There are no internal cameras. The cameras do not have a live feed, however can be referred to if there are any issues that need further investigation.
Wifi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV - will I have it?
This property does have Wi-Fi and a username and password will be provided for that in your pre-arrival email. You may use the house WiFi with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If internet access is critical during you stay, please make sure that you have a Plan B.
What about outdoors?
On Golden Ponds is characterised by the large size of the block (1,260m2),large deck, terraced gardens and a huge lawn area for the kids. The deck is complete with covered decking and an outdoor dining table. During your stay, also feel free to make use of the kids' cubby house, and the private jetty.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
On Golden Ponds has a ducted air conditioner and gas heater in the main house - providing either heating or cooling options. The house is well supplied with fly screens in many rooms, allowing you to catch any available breeze.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
On Golden Ponds does not supply linen. Linen is to be supplied by guests or to be arranged with a linen service which we can provide the contact number for. Should you choose to supply your own linen the following will be required: sheets, pillow cases, bath and beach towels, hand towels, bath mats, and face cloths.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Yes! On Golden Pond is a pet-friendly property, but please note that the yard is NOT fully fenced. Please no pets on furniture or beds, and please bag and dispose of doggy waste appropriately
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is good off-street parking behind a fence, with room on the driveway for three cars.
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Fabulous place in Jervis Bay, my family and I enjoyed the privacy of the house also the private jetty and lovely sunset at the backyard. Enjoyed kayaking and paddling in the bay... we love this place so much... super nice and clean, smell of the house is so fresh and relaxed. The best thing is your have your own privacy time. What my dad loved is.. just 1 min walk to the local Bottle shop. If I can rate this house, it would go up to 100points!
Fantastic location! Very spacious and great use of the lake with the jetty at the end of the garden, paddle boards and kayaks in the garage. We had a great time and will be sure to return.

This isa perfect location for a group or family wanting to chill and relax. The home was very clean and had most of the creature comforts you would expect for lazy days on the water. The owner is very generous in providing excellent kayaks, paddle boards and jackets for use. We spentmost of our time on the private jetty fishing and launching the kayaks. Unfortunately, the photos are outdated and don't reflect the beautiful 2nd loungeroom which was depicted as a covered outdoor entertaining area. The pergola is now much smallerand not covered. We would definitely stay again, the house easily accommodated us (family of 7). Holiday Collections were so easy to deal with and very responsive, including their maintenance person Rod who called in to address some minor issues. Absolutely beautiful!

This is a beautiful location and the amenities are excellent. The house has everything you could need plus more in that there are kayaks, fishing rods etc available for use on site. We were looked after well by Rod who provided quick advice and support when contacted.

Amazing location with a great backyard backing onto the water. Host provided kayaks and stand up paddle boards for us to use.
This is such a nice place with relaxing surrounds - we enjoyed it thoroughly. Note that the pictures are slightly outdated and there is no more cubby house. That said, there have been many improvements made such as an enclosed back room where we spent most of our time looking over the lake. It was lovely to meet Rod, the local shop owners and neighbours, it made our break that much more pleasant. We look forward to returning again some day.

The house itself is suitable for large groups of friends or families, with there being plenty of clean amenities and space for everyone to relax in. Stunning views
Karmen - 12th August 2016Weekend away with 2 families. The views are spectacular and we rarely left our seats on the deck, especially as we could watch the kids fishing. A warning for anyone who does trip easily this property has lots of different levels throughout the house and yard, very easy to trip, children and adults.

Lea169 - 26th November 2015Great location for a relaxing holiday. Perfect for our purposes which was to attend our daughter's wedding on the Reserve at Erowal Bay further along Naval Parade. The property is lovely but could do with a little bit of refurbishment. Excellent service from property manager when the television set would not work. I would definitely go there again.
