Sea Mist is a casual, comfortable and well appointed beach house with dual living rooms and a feeling of great space due to its high ceilings and various sky lights. It is located in a quiet pocket of Hyams Beach within easy walking distance of the main beach. The house has front and rear decking, a rear lawn and is pet friendly.
Where will I be?
Sea Mist is located in Silver Strand Circuit - at the southern end of Hyams Beach. It is in a quiet pocket with surrounding bush, but within easy walking distance of the main beach at Hyams, or the Hyams Beach Cafe.
Why choose Sea Mist?
Sea Mist is a casual and comfortable beach house featuring raked ceilings, open plan living, ducted reverse cycle air conditioning, a private rear deck and attractive back garden. All rooms are comfortable and warmly decorated, and the house has lots of natural light. The location is also great - the best of a bush setting and proximity to the beach!
How is the property laid out?
Sea Mist has a very attractive, split level design - with secluded spaces for everyone. At entry level is the kitchen, sunken dining and lounge which has a wood fireplace. The dining room leads to the backyard via a deck where there is a gas BBQ.
Upstairs has three bedrooms: a queen room with built ins, a double room with built ins, and a second double bedroom. There is also a shared bathroom with shower, spa bath, toilet and vanity. Thelaundry on this level also has a toilet.
Downstairs is an extra bedroom with two single beds and an open plan sitting / living area with TV.
Wi-Fi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV - will I have it?
This property provides complimentary WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the Wi-Fi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a backup plan.
What about outdoors?
The house has a backyard - unfenced however. There is a rear deck with gas BBQ.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
Sea Mist has a reverse cycle air-conditioning unit - for heating or cooling - as well as a cozy combustion fireplace situated in the living room to keep your family and / or group warm in the winter.
Linen -What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Sheets, pillows, blankets or doonas, linen and bath towels are provided at this property. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is space for two small cars stacked on the driveway, or only one normal sized family car.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Sea Mist is a pet friendly property but please no pets on the furniture or beds. Please bring your own dog bed and as the property is not fully fenced, you need to control your dog at all times and clean up after it, both inside and out - thank you!
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Fantastic Place

The view of the trees from the living room is very relaxing and the walk down to the beach is both short and beautiful in and of itself. The place has everything you need, including a good selection of books and games, and we always love the really interesting art. Can highly recommend.
Convenient location
Lidia G - 6th February 2021A pleasant family home. Mislead about air-conditioning as only down stairs, not in bedrooms...just as well wasn't hot .No teaspoons. Cleaning not well done. Fridge not emptied and cleaned from previous people. Needs better vacuuming. House needs TLC as fairly rundown. Pleasant atmosphere.

The house is in perfect location, just about 280meter from the gorgeous Hyams beach and lovely cafe. It's clean, with an eclectic vibe and has everything would would possibly need in a holiday home.
Had a cosy stay at Sea Mist. Whilst the location was ideal, the host has been slow to respond and the house was not sparkling clean, with sand in the bathtub on arrival.
Place was unique and in a beautiful forested location. Would def stay again.
This is a great location, a short easy walk to the beach. This house is managed by a company, and I found the management confusing, with multiple emails sent with incorrect check out times etc. For the price of this house, it would be appreciated to have at least basic laundered items stocked, like bath mats. The laundry and bathroom floor weren't very clean on arrival. All the bedrooms were fine, and the house in the loveliest location.

Wonderful stay
Daria - 9th April 2018We stayed at bayview 5 for 2 nights- 2 adults and 2 children and had a great time! The owner was so attentive and flexible and let us arrive and live beyond hours. The stairs are steep so its not suitable four young children ( ours are 6,8). Very close to the beach (2 min walk). The only minus is a low stream in the shower and we had one evening with no hot water (didnt even call the host so maby they could have solve it. Thanks for a great time and hospitality

House itself is super clean and comfy. Equipped with everything you need. Quiet at night you can hear the waves and see stars from upstairs windows whilst lying in bed. Loved it highly recommend

Beachside haven in the bush
Frenchlane - 7th October 20142 minutes walk to the most pristine beach in the world with aqua marine waters... Yet set back from the hustle and bustle of visitors.. Cheeky Bristlebirds flitting about the natural bush surrounding this home. Comfortable and well appointed with interesting art adorning throughout. Happy, family feeling with a fun garden to play in whilst BBQing on the deck.
