Sea Point at Hyams Beach
7 Lotus Street, Hyams Beach
Sea Point at Hyams Beach - 4pm check out Sundays and Public Holidays, except Summer Season
Sea Point has been recently renovated and is an open plan, comfortable and light-filled three level beach house. With arguably the best view in Hyams Beach, the 180-degree perspective is breathtaking from both its main wrapround and upper bedroom decks.
The house features 2 upstairs rooms with amazing views that can sleep 6 and it’s an easy 200 metre walk to stunning Chinamans Beach.
Please note:
Take care when entering or leaving the property as the driveway is steep. Lotus Street is a dual carriage street with one-way systems in place. This said, for lower style vehicles, it is easier to enter the driveway from the right as you go up and left as you exit.
As this is village, we request no parties and no smoking in the house - please. You will be evicted if these rules are broken.
Summer Season Bookings: 13 Dec 2024 and 23 Jan 2025 - Minimum 7 night booking - Arrival and departure on a Saturday. If booking online, please search for vacancies with Saturday being the arrival and departure day. Summer Season bookings are most easily made directly with our Bookings Team.
Where will I be?
Sea Point is located at the northern end of the village on a high point that overlooks Chinamans Beach, the village, National Park and Jervis Bay. It is a quiet, secluded pocket while still close to everything.
Why choose Sea Point?
Sea Point has lovely, spacious living areas with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. The house is laid out in an open and very comfortable configuration with simply spectacular views from all rooms, main and upstairs decks.
How is the property laid out?
Sea Point is a three-level house. There is no access to the ground garage, however, there is a large parking area at the top of the driveway with stairs leading to the second and main living floor.
The main floor has large open plan living, dining and kitchen area, bathroom and toilet for the house. There is also a large deck on both sides offering remarkable views.
A spiral staircase leads to the third level which is occupied by the two bedrooms, one of which has a queen bed, and the other a queen plus bunk bed. The main bedroom has a private deck.
Wi-Fi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV - will I have it?
Sea Point has a Smart TV (so bring your Netflix / Stan etc., codes), stereo and complementary Wi-Fi. In addition, phone (cell) coverage is good, so if needed, you can connect via your smart phone.*
*While reliable, please note the owner nor managing agent can guarantee Wi-Fi or mobile connectivity, so if internet access is critical during your stay, please make sure you have a Plan B.
What about outdoors?
As noted, Sea Point has wrap-around decks with spectacular views which are the perfect spot for dolphin and whale watching or simply to relax with a glass of wine. On the main deck there is a gas barbeque. At the front, a large parking area for three cars and at the back, a small native backyard (with clothesline) backing on to the National Park. Watch for friendly possums and kangaroos that often visit!
Staying warm or keeping cool?
Sea Point comes with a lovely, enclosed wood fireplace, small blow heaters and numerous pedestal fans.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Sea Point supplies linen and bath towels. Please bring your own beach towels though!
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is parking for three cars at the top of the driveway. There is a reversing bay at the top to allow for easier access back down the driveway.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay!
Yes! Sea Point is pet friendly. We kindly ask they stay off beds and furniture and note that the property is not fully fenced and is a bush block, so we recommend always keeping an eye on your pet.
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Amazing View
John S - 11th February 2024Comfortable beach pad, neat and tidy
Beautiful location and totally relaxing
Penny B - 28th December 2023A wonderful holiday home that we were very lucky to be able to stay at. Stunning views across a beautiful safe beach. Lots of board games and sofas, with a great balcony to sit with a cold glass of wine. The dog loved the mile long hound friendly Hyams beach too. The only tricky bit is the steep drive which if your car is low at the front (a VW Golf), it scrapes the underneath of the front when coming down it.
Calm and beautiful
Kristy W - 23rd December 2023A lovely property with amazing views and a quirky architecture. Perfectly set away from the busier part of Hyams Beach. Perfect pet stay too!
Delightful accommodation with priceless view
Glenda B - 29th September 2023Such a welcoming property. Comfortable beds, great position to see sunrise. All required amenities. Great bathroom. Kids loved the spiral stairs and “mezzanine” level. We felt we could relax and make ourselves at home.
Amazing stay
Martina U - 31st January 2023This property has lovely ambience with great views of Hyams beach. You do have to claim a bit of a hill and stairs, but you get rewarded with an unbeatable view of the bay. We watched the dolphins while having a breakfast, it was amazing. The beach is about 5 min walk. Pet friendly feature was also very helpful so we could take our furry friends with us. We would gladly return back anytime.
Fabulous weekend at Hyams Beach
Ria K - 31st October 2022Our stay at Sea Point this past weekend was great! We loved the house! Was spacious and clean and we fell in love with that view!!! As mentioned by others, the driveway is steep but we didn’t have any issues in the car we had. We found it easier to reverse up the driveway. The bathroom and toilet have been renovated so would be great to have updated photos as the current bathroom photos may put people off. The living room furniture and kitchen table have also been updated. We’ll be back!!!
Sea Point at Hyams Review
Tia G - 2nd February 2022The place is lovely with amazing view of the bay. We have been quite impressed during our first nights stay.
Beautiful Stay
Paulette A - 22nd December 2021Location and overall look and feel of the home is amazing. Incredible views and layout, plenty of space! Everything was great and we have had the most amazing time. Thank you
Fantastic views
Kerrie B - 17th December 2021Beautiful location with panoramic views of Jervis Bay. Lots of beautiful birds visit and fly past everyday. House is comfortable but basic. It was clean and the beds comfortable. Driveway is best for cars that are higher rather than low to ground as when street meets driveway there is a rather steep gradient.
Very cozy property
Vanessa S - 7th December 2021Cozy property. We really enjoyed it. It’s dated but clean and it had all the amenities we needed to enjoy the stay. The view is spectacular so even though we had bad weather we were able to enjoy being in the property and feel like we were In Jervis Bay.
Lovely house with original interiors and amazing view. The place is only a couple minutes walk from a variety of beaches and has a nice homely feel. Thank you for having us!
Great views and a charming home. The driveway is steep but I left my car on the road as I don’t have a four wheel drive. The house had everything we needed. Thanks.
What a view!
The view is ridiculous- we didn’t want to leave. The space is huge (4 couches, 2 dining tables +outdoor furniture) and very comfortable. It is not a 5-star resort, rather (preferably!) it is a beach-side property and full of cosy old charm. You won’t be obsessing about the little bit of sand you bring in, you can relax because it’s not pristine and you don’t feel like you need to keep it that way. It IS clean, there are no mice etc as described by other reviews. Frankly we don’t understand the reviews below 🤷🏼♀️. Kitchen is very well appointed, fridge is huge. Yes it does become warm (especially upstairs in the bedrooms as there is no aircon. However, it is so high on the hill that the breeze is effective if you open the windows and doors. You could BYO fan if you have space. Fly-screens on the doors to the balcony would be preferable, as there can be some bugs about. Bring bug spray! Yes the driveway is steep- but manageable and especially east if you use the neighbours driveway for a 3 point turn and then enter from the ‘wrong’ direction. Similarly, yes this venue would be inappropriate for anyone with mobility concerns- there are a great many precarious stairs. The TV reception is sketchy, and external connections don’t work reliably, so bring pre-downloaded content and use HDMI, the picture quality is great. Overall, we can’t wait to book again.
Beautiful view and great location
Lynette C - 13th March 2021The home likely has the best view in Hyams Beach. It is stunning and the home is in a great location. The beds were comfortable and there is a spacious living area. The only concern is that there is very little lighting in the main living areas to the point it was nearly impossible to read or do some work.
A well equipped holiday home with a gorgeous outlook to Jervis Bay. Be prepared to climb steps to enjoy it. The beds were very comfy, just like home. The house was clean and welcoming. The driveway was too steep for our long and low car so everything had to be carried up the steep driveway. Easy walk to 3 beaches with sparkling white sand. The Hyams Cafe has excellent coffee and menu
This is not a public review, just for the Holidays collection. Do not publish
Elisa P - 22nd December 2020Great place. Thank you. It is a shabby chic style, we loved it. Sheets were clean but many black curly long hair. We used our linen. Lack of some basic kitchen supplies and glasses for wine. Barbecue is in a bad condition and dirty, we haven’t had the courage to use. The rules for garbage collection are not clear. Rugs smell of wet dogs. For the rest, the view is spectacular and you offer a great service. We have been here with you before and we’ll be back. Thanks
Seapoint has an amazing panoramic view of Jervis Bay, the sunrises in the morning were amazing & totally worth it. The house was spotless & the spiral stairs were even better in person. The driveway is a bit steep for anyone with a sedan or smaller cars - cars need to be driven up with a lot of care and on the right angle. Would still recommend the place!!
The house was stunning and accurately described. The view from the balcony was gorgeous, we saw dolphins in the morning from the house and we were so lucky with a few clear nights as the star gazing at night was exceptional. Thanks for the headsup of the driveway. Note for future guests to read description as the driveway is very steep and scrapes the bottom of the car a little. Also, the internal stair case and the stairs leading to the house should be noted for less mobile guests. Thanks for a beautiful stay. Will be recommending to friends.
Great location and view from the balcony! Would definitely stay again.
The photos show a spectacular view and an old but comfortable home. However they don’t show a property that needs TLC, a deep clean and maintenance. Sadly the hosts let us down by not pre-checking & cleaning the house properly before our arrival (bins full, BBQ gas empty, items left from previous guests not cleared away) even though they were helpful in allowing us to check in early. The house smells musty and smokey so a good airing is required (we also went out and purchased air fresheners which helped). Unfortunately our experience with the host once we complained was not pleasant and they were unprepared to assist in making our stay more comfortable. So sadly we cannot recommend this property.
Easy stroll to beach Great views of ocean with huge balcony on a hill Private even though there’s surrounding neighbours Could improve kitchen supplies (missing basic things like sugar) Pillows/bed were not that comfortable Bath was fantastic
Incredible view overlooking Hyams Beach
alext - 16th November 2018A comfortable house with an amazing wrap around deck and unparalled view overlooking Hyams Beach and Chinamans Beach. The house is in very close walking distance to both, and a short drive to Huskisson and Vincentia. A great place for a week or weekend away. We will definitely be back!
Perfect location, amazing view and charming house
Anna - 23rd May 2018The house has so much charm and the best view! Utterly breathtaking with a very sizeable balcony, perfect spot for an afternoon/evening drink! Easy quick walk to Chinamans and Hyams beaches, and pet friendly so we took out pooch with us who loved the lying in the sun which drenches the home. We visited in winter and it was a perfect getaway.
great location
adf1 - 24th April 2018the drive is a problem - impossible to not scrape the car!
Amazing Views and Relaxation
Clare - 22nd September 2014We were so pleased with our stay at Hyams Beach as we had amazing views, weather and accommodation to relax in. It was lovely waking up in such a peaceful area and so close to all the stunning beaches. The house itself was so warm and had a real fire for the evenings. The bathroom was cold and possibly needs updating however the rest of the house was lovely and comfortable. Views out to the Heads!
