Take Time is a basic, older style, yet large and affordable beach house that sleeps up to 14 people. Please book it as such, with the photos accurately depicting the house and its furnishings. It has a fully self contained flat downstairs that is rented with the rest of the house. Take Time is suitable for a large family gathering or a group who wants a casual, comfortable and well priced beach house.

Take Time is not a party house and has nearby neighbours who understandably want all noise kept to a minimum and taken inside by 10pm. Please do not book this property if you are unable to abide by these requests. Take Time is best suited to families or a respectful group of friends.
Where will I be?
Take Time is situated at the southern end of Hyams in relaxing bush surrounds. It is only a 300 metre walk to the main beach at Hyams, and an easy walk to the Cafe. Its pocket of Hyams also has lovely bird and a pretty creek nearby.
Why choose Take Time?
Open plan living in a bush setting with an open fire for cosy nights, this expansive house is big enough to accommodate a large group with privacy. Please be aware that this is a casual, comfortable, older style beach house, as per the photos.
How is the property laid out?
This large family home has six bedrooms - three upstairs and one downstairs (accessed via a spiral staircase), and two additional bedrooms in a downstairs flat with separate access. The main house also has a kids games room equipped with a fusball machine. The upstairs living area is expansive and the kitchen has modern appliances. The home has two bathrooms - one for upstairs and one for downstairs, plus an internal laundry.
WiFi, Internet, Netflix and Pay TV - will I have it?
NBN is progressively rolling out along the South Coast of NSW. If your house does have internet and if the owner makes it available to guests, you may use it with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise, use your smart phone only during your stay or find a local cafe or library that offers free wifi. If internet access is critical during your stay, please make sure that you have a Plan B!
What about outdoors?
The rear yard is fully fenced with a smaller secure pet area. There are two outdoor showers on either side of the property. There are upstairs and downstairs decks, a rear BBQ area and an outdoor firepit - plenty of space for the kids to run around, and for entertaining!
Staying warm or keeping cool?
Take Time is equipped with an electric heater downstairs.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Linen and bath towels are provided at Take Time. Please bring your own beach towels however!
Parking for cars, boats etc?
Parking is available for two cars at the top of the driveway and one visitor space to the side of the driveway.
Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?
Yes! Take Time is a pet friendly property.
What are the minimum stay rules?
- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights
Are there any special Summer Season rules?
Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Fabulous Retreat
veronica h - 19th February 2024Very comfortable, well-appointed home, with great beach vibes. With a bush outlook but close enough to be able to hear the waves on the beach nearby gives it a special feel. Loved being able to walk to everything - beach, bushwalks, great cafe. Highly recommend!
Located in a tucked away street backing onto the bush, this accomodation comfortably housed 12 adults. Everyone had their own space and we didn’t feel on top of one another. The additional touches of things such as paper towel, extra teatowls, lots of cooking equipment, fresh bath towels etc were greatly appreciated. Unfortunately it was pouring with rain for our entire stay but I would love to come back and stay when we can enjoy Hyams beach just down the road.

Great, comfortable and very affordable house

It can easily and comfortably accommodate a large group of people and is divided into two large self-contained areas, one upstairs and one upstairs. The kitchen is very well equipped and very appropriate for food lovers such as ourselves. Highly recommended indeed!
Such a fun weekend
Teresa - 19th November 2014Perfect spot for a get-away with friends. There is plenty of room to comfortably accommodate a numerous group of friends with a fantastic outdoor veranda to sit down, relax and watch rainbow parrots, crimson rosellas and kangaroos hop in front of you. Plus it is only a five minute walk to the beach.
