Saddleback Grove is a beautiful country home perched on a hilltop with dramatic rural and coastal views descending beneath it. Suited to the most discerning of guests this stunning property is styled and decorated to an excellent standard and features a spa with a view like no other.

** Where will I be? **
Nestled in the hillside this expansive home is accessed via dry stone wall and hedgerow lined lanes leading up from Kiama.
Get away from it all with a rural escape or enjoy a beach holiday; Saddleback Grove is perfect for both. Just a 7 minute drive brings you into the centre of Kiama with its famous beaches, surf breaks, shops and markets, then retreat home and youll feel a million miles away.
The property is ideally situated for day trips to the surrounding areas. Gerringong is 12 mins drive and Gerroa (Seven Mile Beach), Berry, Jamberoo (including Jamberoo Action Park) and Minnamurra Falls are less than 20 mins away. Reach the Southern Highlands, Kangaroo Valley and the Illawarra Fly via picturesque back lanes in 45min.

** How is the property laid out? **
All on one level Saddleback Grove comprises of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The lounge, dining room and kitchen all enjoy breathtaking views across the rolling hills with their charming dry stone walls and out to the open ocean. The kitchen has stone bench tops, plenty of storage, dishwasher and great facilities, ideal for the longer stay.
Bedroom 1 has a king bed, reverse cycle air conditioning, built in wardrobes and ensuite with shower. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed with ceiling fan, bedroom 3 has a queen bed and bedroom 4 has a queen bed and enjoys stunning views over the illawarra and out to sea. They share the family bathroom with sunken bath and shower over.
The garage have been completely converted into a beautiful games room and has a pool table and ping pong.
There is also a laundry with a combined washing machine and dryer.

** WiFi, Internet, Netflix or Pay TV – will I have it? **
This property provides complimentary NBN (Rural) WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email, or will be available at the property.
The smart TV in the lounge has access to Netflix and other subscription TV apps which you can sign into with your own account.
Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the Wi-Fi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a backup plan.

** What about outdoors? **
The sloping acre of lawn is immaculately presented and reminiscent of an English country garden complete with bountiful veggie patch and orchard trees. The vast side deck is a great entertainer and both a gas bbq and wood fired pizza oven are provided so you can cook up a storm in the evening sun. The jewel in the crown is the outdoor spa on the front veranda with views over Kiama and beyond.

** Staying warm or keeping cool?! **
Wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioning is provided in master bedroom and in the lounge. The lounge also has a slow combustion log fire. Bedroom 2 has a ceiling fan. Bedrooms 3 & 4 and the games room have fans. All rooms can be opened right up to take in the sea breeze.
All bedrooms have electric blankets in winter and heaters for the rooms.

** What about sheets, towels and other supplies? **
High quality linen, pillows, blankets, duvets, and bath towels are all provided at this property. Organic soaps, shampoos etc and septic friendly laundry and cleaning products are all provided. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!

** Parking for cars, boats etc? **
Private parking is available for up to 4 cars. Cars must be parked on the driveway only.

** Is my dog or cat welcome to stay? **
Yes! Pets are welcome to stay at Saddleback Grove subject to the following:

Please do not allow wet or dirty dogs in or through the house

Absolutely no dogs on the furniture or rugs.

A dog bed is provided for use during your stay.

Please bag and dispose of doggy waste appropriately

The property is not fully secured, so we recommend that dogs are on a leash at all times outside. Please ensure dogs remain in the property boundaries as they may scare or injure the local livestock in the neighbours surrounding fields.

Lastly, please consider that not all guests bring dogs on holiday and we want everyone to enjoy a clean and fresh home. Please clean up dog hairs or anything else inside the house before your departure – thank you!

** What are the minimum stay rules? **
There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during Peak Season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of January.

** Are there any special Peak Season rules? **

Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We do not schedule arrivals on Public Holidays.

** Is there any special information I should know about? **

Dogs must be on a leash at all times outside as the property is not fully secured and dogs may scare or injure the local livestock in the surrounding fields.

Although only 1 acre, Saddleback Grove is a rural property surrounded by farmland. As a result, the property is not on town services and relies on tank water and a septic waste system. This means that water wastage needs to be kept to a minimum and only septic tank friendly products should be used or else the system gets smelly. Organic soaps, shampoos etc and septic friendly laundry and cleaning products are provided.

** Stay Sunday night for a discounted rate? **

If you wish to extend your weekend stay – Friday and Saturday night, by adding Sunday night, you may do so for an additional cost of $500 (not the normal $925 per night). Check out would then be 10am Monday. If you wish to do this, you can request this at the time of booking, or at any time before your stay.

** Where will I be? **

Netley Lodge is situated in High Range, surrounded by the famous wineries of the Southern Highlands. The property overlooks olive groves, working farms with endless views to the Southern Ranges. The house itself is surrounded by natural bush land, the olive groves and dams. Netley Lodge is located down a long private driveway, off a small rural lane. The property is very secluded and guests enjoy a feeling of total privacy. The towns of Mittagong and Bowral, plus many golf courses, wineries, wedding venues, restaurants or cafes are all an easy drive from the house.

Indicative distances are: 12km to Mittagong, 14km to Bowral town centre, 4 km to Joadja Vineyards,12 km to Centennial Vineyards, 13km to Bendooley Estate,100 km to Sydney and 180 km to Canberra.

** Please note – unfenced dam on the property **

Netley Lodge has a large dam on the property that is NOT fully fenced. Please take extreme care with young children on the property. The dam is located about 100 metres from the house.

** Why choose Netley Lodge? **

Netley Lodge is an oasis of calm, yet perfectly located to explore the very best of the Southern Highlands. This enormous home is perfect for multi-generational get togethers with games for the children and plenty of space to dine together both inside and out.This expansive home is perfect in summer and winter with heating and cooling options including ducted air conditioning throughout, as well as a slow combustion heater and an open fire place to create a special ambience.

** How is the property laid out? **

As per the floorplans provided, the house sleeps 11 across 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

This expansive home has a large open living and dining area at its heart,a huge separate formal sunken lounge with open fireplace and a formal dining room off this area. In the north east corner of the house there are 4 bedrooms; the master with a king bed, ensuite with shower over a corner bathand walk in wardrobe. Off the same hallway are the other 3 bedrooms; 2 queens and a twin, they surround the family bathroom with a his and hers vanity and separate bath and shower. The 5th bedroom with tri-bunk is at the westerly end of the house accessed from the sunken lounge room. A third bathroom is located off the laundry.The garage has been converted into a rumpus room with table tennis and TV/DVD.

** Wi-Fi, internet, Netflix or pay tv- will I have it? **

This particular property does NOT offer Wi-Fi. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is generally Telstra. Otherwise, it’s best to use your smartphone during your stay.

** What about outdoors? **

The house overlooks 25 acres of partly cleared rural and bush land with several dams. Guests will enjoy frequent visits from kangaroos, wombats and an abundance of bird life. There is a large covered outdoor dining area to the rear of the property with gas BBQ and a path leading down to the pizza oven.

Wander through the olive grove or explore one of the many walking trails and creeks/waterfalls.

Please however take extreme care with young children on this property as the dam is NOT fenced.

** Staying warm or keeping cool?! **

The entire house has central gas heating, a slow combustion wood heater, and an open fireplace. There are ceiling fans for cooling throughout.

The house is generously supplied with firewood:in the cooler months, both fires are set for your arrival and in a wooden box to the left of the rumpus room fire you will find kindling, newspaper, and matches. Each fire (rumpus room and formal lounge) has extra firewood stacked next to it and the trolley on the covered rear deck has more firewood for use inside or at the pizza oven. If you need any more firewood for your stay, you will need to purchase it at a local service station or hardware store at your expense.

** What about sheets, towels and other supplies? **

High quality sheets and towels are provided at Netley Lodge.

Toilet paper, kitchen soaps, guest soaps and some other supplies are also provided, but please be prepared to top up during your stay as needed. Regarding food, condiments and the like, please plan to bring everything you need. For safety and hygiene reasons, our houses generally do not supply food items.

** Parking for cars, boats etc? **

There is ample parking for up to 5 vehicles. Please park only on the driveway.

** Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay? **
